Great little spot, friendly staff. Sandwiches were awesome, but both my friend and I felt like there was more water than cheese in the mac.

Portland/Las Vegas guy here... I've tried a lot of sandwich places, always hoping to find the best of the best, but I just haven't found THE PLACE until now! Dad's Sandwiches are remarkable. My husband and I stopped by on a roadtrip recently, and loved the place so much we decided to organize our schedule such we could stop on the way home as well. I ordered the Baja Bird (Twice) and loved every bite. The sandwich is flavorful and juicy, and packed with delicious avocado, chicken, bacon and fresh veggies. The bread is flakey on the outside, and buttery and delicate inside. There's generally a wait on the weekends, but I promise you... hold steady, because these sandwiches are worth the wait! My husband ordered the tri-tip sandwich the first time we visited, but they were unfortunately sold out of that specific sandwich. They offered to substitute the beef for turkey and added extra cheese free of charge. (I thought that was kind of them) The second time we visited he was able to order the tri-tip and said it was the best he's ever had. Now here's the sad part... these folks are in Sacramento and I only make it to town once or twice a year. That's just too long to wait until I can start working my way through the rest of their menu. If you're a local, RUN to Dad's and tell them Nico sent you. I see an amazing sandwich in your future!

A sandwich shop that delivers a punch! The staff really fight to deliver a left-hook of a meal. These sandwiches get you right in the kisser! We discovered Dad's on a road trip, and we now can't go near Sacramento without dashing into Dad's door to attack the best sandwiches we've ever had. While I was beating down my meal, my husband looked over and said, "you're leaking!"... sure enough, the cheese sauce had bled all over my shirt! So messy, and so worth it! We'll be back for round 2.

If you're looking for a place to make a neighborhood feel like home this is it. The ambiance is like the Cheers of sandwich spots. Just about everything is made in house and it's all incredible. Get their Reuben on that marble rye and you'll be happy all day. Alternatively, just ask the counter person their favorite thing and get it their way. You'll still be happy.

This was another Sacramento classic spot to try out. I've been a couple times & finally decided it's too pricey for the subpar quality & lackluster taste of sandwiches. If in a pinch I'd come again, but there's better tasting sandwich spots in town. 7/10 - Blue Collar Dream: it's not bad but not that good; quality of meat was not the best & overall didn't taste fresh. 5/10 - Hot Blonde: it looked promising, but overall the flavors were bland & flat; chicken needed more seasoning.

They got rid of pastrami. I need to find a new favorite sandwich spot. Staff is nice, food is still good, but no pastrami makes the drive here no longer worth it.

This is a small walk up sandwich shop. There is some seating outside but pretty much for take out. The menu online isn't correct. Some of the items are no longer on the menu., It was good, I would go back. The only thing different I would do is get the salad dressing on the side. My Cesar Chavez salad was quite delish.

A little sad they ran out of Tri tip before we got there but had a fantastic Rueben. 3 guys working there very welcoming and polite. You could tell they did everything and I'll be back to get that Tri tip next time through town

Been coming to Dads for years. It's been a while since Covid and I was happy to see this place is still alive. Remodeled the interior too. I got the beach bum and it's just as good as ever . Staff are super nice and the prices are great (especially in this economy)

Service was nice. Food was tasty. Blueberry Mint Lemonade is a hit. First time, great lunch option.

We usually order on Sundays. It's always a 50/50 whether they're gonna be busy or not. It's worth it though and they recently brought back their "turnpike..." best sandwich!

I was craving a hot sandwich and this place really hit the spot! We both ordered the hot blonde and both agreed it was a superb sandwich. I liked their menu and how easy to read it was as well as the fun names of the sandwiches. Ordering was easy as well and our sandwiches came out relatively quickly. The sandwiches were so juicy! The sourdough bread had beautiful golden grill marks and the chicken was well seasoned and tender. I loved everything about it and can't wait to try more of their sandwiches in the future.

Fast service! Sandwich's are made with a good amount of meant and veggies. Good buy for the price.
