Steak was bland and undercooked. They replaced it with a smaller, different cut that actually had flavor, underscoring the lack of flavor on the original. The shrimp accompaniment was overcooked and also bland, and the Diet Coke was flat. Not worth it, in my opinion.

Came in on Friday, March 8th. We ordered the fillet and mashed potatoes. Anyone with a heart condition would die from how much salt they put in it. Do not eat here. Service is great but whoever's in the kitchen needs to be fired.

been here a few times & the service is incredibly great. the servers are great at recommending food & always checking in to make sure we're good. this place is definitely a 5 star restaurant

We had a great dinner this last Saturday night. First, we were seated in a comfy, centrally located booth in the dining room. The food was delicious. Their bread service is excellent! It's so tasty. My wife and I both started with the onion and leek soup. Their French onion is a good one. Next, I had the 8oz. filet Mignon with the truffle butter and red wine sauce. It was perfectly prepared to my requested medium rare. For a side, I went with the loaded baked potato. It was huge! It was baked perfectly, though it would have benefited by being salt crusted, rather than plain. My wife just had a house salad, which she enjoyed. Excellent selection of wines by the glass. Service was professional, attentive, and friendly.

Our server was awesome. He asked if we were attending the nearby event and made sure we were served promptly to make the show in time. Food was great. But our server put it over the top!

We enjoyed our dinners which were really good. Our server was attentive at times however when asked to take a group picture we were told by him to wait until the food is on the table for a better picture and he would take it later. The picture never happened. When asked for a certain cut with the prime rib , he said they were sold out but didn't have the courtesy to ask again. I didn't order the prime rib. I saw another complaint in another post prior to eating here about a server who wasn't very friendly but I thought it was just an off night. I don't hold grudges and still tipped him 20%. Hopefully this isn't a trend and he shows more respect for his customers instead of telling them how things should be done.

Dawson's never disappoints. It's consistently excellent food and outstanding service. This is certainly our go to treasure when we are in downtown and out for a special event.

To paraphrase an old Groucho Marx/Woddy Allen line: "The food here was so good, and large portions. Complimentay bread and butter...what a concept! Small salads were large. Steaks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Accompanied by roasted head of garlic. Small sides were adequate for two. Mashed potatoes were lukewarm and nothing special. Loved the creamed spinach. Dessert menu was disappointing: too precious for a steakhouse and mediocre. Coffee was dreadful. They really need to change vendors.

Filet Mignon was severely undercooked. Service was slow to check on our table and correct the problem. No additional sides were brought out with steak after about a 20 minute wait.On the positive side the Carrot Cake was the best I have ever experienced. There was no type of compensation for the undercooking and delay issue. The total bill for two people was around $200 (before tip).

Typical steakhouse staples done very well. Service top notch and professional. Ambience was okay, but what do you expect for a hotel lobby restaurant? We have been coming for a few years and will be back!
