I got there at 7:15 and they were closed the website said 8:00 pm how can you support black businesses when they closed early or menu is limited. I won’t be them again.

This place is SO good!!! The fish is fried to perfection, NOT overly salty, and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for in Sacramento!! I hate that it took me so long to find this place, but better late than never! I go get fish here about 2-3x a week now ❤️

When I want good fried fish, this is the second place I think of, mine being the first ? I wasn't disappointed, the snapper was on point. Even though I didn't particularly care for the potatoes salad, it was ok The greed were were delicious as well. Keep it up, I'll be back!!!!

I'm from Indianapolis and Whitening fish was everywhere when I was kid. When I came to California, it was hard to find a fish spot like back home. While working in Oak Park, I came across this spot. I placed my order by phone and slipped in just before any lunch rush to grab my food. I didn't catch her name, so I am going to call her auntie. Auntie was packing up my order when I came in. We started talking like we knew each other. All of a sudden I was back in Indianapolis. That feeling of acceptance and familiarity was there at that counter. When I got back to my desk and seen the mound of fish in the package I was ready to dive in. First bite was all I needed to make me want to come back for more. If you craving some fish, don't hesitate to stop in and see Auntie.

This Place is one of the best Places in town the way the Originality and Fish and Shrimp Fry is Great to say the least thats why I give it a 5 Star cause its the best Fish Fry around Thanks Champ's. I first came hear years ago and they are still here Awsom.

The menu doesn't specify this information.I ordered softly cooked catfish, but the plates weren't marked. Since we both ordered the same, I ended up having medium cooked fish that evening. It was good, just not what I ordered for my meal. I'm told my order was delicious, hence, the five stars. The fried okra was good. The pie treat was nice.There are notices to check your food order before you leave, but it's packed and handed to you out the door. I'm not sure how they expect customers to check it prior to exiting... Perhaps I'll try the buffallo and something else unusual next time.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a little steep for wheelchairs and walkers. Be very careful. There is a nonslip mat on the ground, but still be mindful.
