Upon staying at the Fort Sutter Hotel, the team and Four Palms were exceptionally welcoming, engaging and helpful with recommendations. Khari, Makayla and Ness went the extra mile! Four Palms offers the full Bernardo Cafe menu and ensured NBA games were on and the music playlist fit their vibe. Great wine selection, too.

The Fort Sutter Hotel was chosen by a bridal couple for a block of rooms for wedding guests. We thought it was selected primarily for the location. What we discovered was a Hotel staffed by efficient and friendly smiling faces ready to assist us in any way. And the food and drinks in Cafe Bernardo and the bar were the BEST! We chose to eat most meals there due to tge quality of the food...truly exceptional. Thank you, Fort Sutter, for a wonderful stay.

In case it is not clear from the web site, this hotel has zero parking, no valet, etc. There is a public parking lot, not related to the hotel, used mostly by staff of the Sutter Hospital next door.....that gets completely full, charges you every time you go in and out, and so that's not really a great option, but might work for some folks Really, if you are using your car in Sac, this is not the hotel for you, imo. Other challenges: No hypo allergenic options. If you are allergic to down, you should find another hotel. The comforters and the pillows will set you off. Good stuff: The historic (horrific) Fort Sutter is a couple blocks away. This is a great way to see a bit of the European history of California come to life in the sense that the fort preserves some of the basic recreations of early 1800s life in the area. (Note that at the present time it is largely closed for reconstruction efforts, so admission is free but rooms available to view are limited.)

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, it’s beautifully appointed! The staff was amazing and went out of their way to help make our stay comfortable. The room was cleaned daily, the beds were extremely comfortable, the amenities were awesome. The location is perfect, a very walkable area with lots of food choices. We ate at the adjoining restaurant, Bernardos and it was wonderful as well, you have to have the French toast for breakfast, it’s the best breakfast dish I’ve ever had. In the evening we sat in the beautiful cocktail lounge and the service was outstanding, they could have had better red wine choices, but it we still enjoyed it. This hotel is directly kitty-corner to Sutter hospital, (we were here visiting someone in the hospital), so it was perfect. You would think you’d here sirens at night being so close to the hospital, but we never heard a single noise all night, we were here for 4 nights. Both my sister and I would highly recommend this hotel. If we find ourselves coming to Sacramento again, we’ll definitely be staying at the Fort Sutter.

The Fort Sutter is a few minutes from downtown and that’s GREAT. Downtown Sacremento is a drug infested, crime and homeless war zone. Staying just a few minutes away in the Fort Sutter area was much better. The hotel has a nice restaurant and a great bar. The neighborhood surrounding has several good places to eat and drink. The rooms were nice and clean. The only issue was the gym. It’s very small and poorly equipped. You would think a newer property would have a nicer gym. But despite that one complaint, by far the best and safest place to stay.

Excellent service from start to finish. Hilton honors status $15 food and bev daily credit went a long way at their restaurant and bar, which was so stylish and noticeably a neighborhood fave for locals, not just for hotel guests. Great place to meet up with friends while in town. Location felt very safe and walkable to midtown, which was my focus this visit. Staff was attentive, automatically upgraded my room based on gold status before I arrived (I usually have to request via app), and they were super helpful both with extending my stay an extra night and coordinating late checkout for me when my schedule changed. Particular kudos to front desk staff member Sosa for my best customer service experience yet as a Hilton Gold member. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again.

Stayed as a family and it was great all around! Staff was incredible and accommodating, especially Tania S at the desk in the evenings. She held our luggage and set us up with some credit at the bar when our room wasn’t quite ready. She was always welcoming and happy to help. Street parking is available overnight, so we didn’t park in the garage since we were out and about during the day. Two blocks from Sutter Fort which was fun to walk to. Close to good food and a natural food co-op. We loved the food downstairs too. Kids loved the vibe of the place, the many streaming options in the room, and the comfortable beds.

Hotel was clean and convenient to things downtown. It not a luxury hotel it average and more like a 3 star. Not worth the price. Hyatt’s Regency is much nicer! Hotel Parking is not on at the hotel. You have to use a parking garage next door to the hotel. There are no Tesla or electric car chargers in the garage.. unless I missed something. Parking is $10 a night

Came here on Sunday July 16th to have a few drinks and dinner the bartender was a complete j**** The pumps were down so most of the bar/cocktail menu was unavailable - except beer and wine - no problem. We sat at the bar patiently waiting to be aknowledged - he was too busy slamming stuff, huffing and puffing with his back towards the bar. After more than 5 mins of being ignored we left and went next door to Cafe Bernardo and had a great experience. We've been several times to Four Palms and had a great time. Next time I hope the bartender is in a better mood.

If you are ever in the area and want a nice place to stay, this is the place. Tania assisted me and my boyfriend by squeezing us in on a busy holiday weekend as we were frantically calling hotels and everywhere was booked. She is a true angel and the customer service she provided us with is rare. You can tell she is passionate about her position and she spoke very highly of the business. She really made our experience a pleasant one. The room that we received had a view of the capitol; that was a real perk. In addition, it was very clean. So much so, that I felt comfortable walking around barefoot and I can't say that about any other hotel I have stayed in. I had zero complaints. If I am ever passing through this town, I will not hesitate to call and book here again. Thank you Tania!! We need more Tania's in the world :) x

So nice, I just had to stay twice! Found myself back in town and needed a place to work remotely while visiting family, so naturally I chose to stay here again since I had such a great experience last time. On this trip I was able to use the fitness center which is perfectly stocked with the necessary essentials - weights, cardio equipment, mats & foam rollers. (I've added 2 photos for your reference.)

This location was great to be next door to starbucks and wallking distance to great retaurants. Our check in experience was just ok and we were given too smelly rooms on the third floor with windows that did not open. It was so hard to be switched to a room with a window that opens. One room had to endure the smell and no fridge and windowns that do not open. We tried to eat at the restaurant and the avocado toast was on bread that tasted old. The waitress told us the buttermilk pancakes were vegan because there was a v but I told her to check and they ARE NOT VEGAN. The front desk answers the phone sometimes and it seemed to be a shortage staff. There was a big fight with a guy who was parked in the loading zone because he said it's not fair the manager parks in the loading zone so he should be able to park there. The load argument went on for a long time in front of the hotel. Besides the smelly hallway and the smelly room, it's in a great location. I would never stay again. Staff seems untrained. Do not ask for anything extra. So much attitude from the front desk. On the good side, location. Water stations. Ice on every other floor. Photo our view of the freeway. The first room we got faced a cement wall.

We had such an amazing stay. The hotel has such a unique decor and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the local items they had for sale at the front desk. The hotel was clean and safe. The room was cozy and she sheets were soooo soft. Parking was convenient and covered. $10 neighboring garage was great! I loved the latte and the chilaquiles at Cafe Bernardo! the airside potion had a fire and a movie was playing in the evening. We were able to enjoy that the second evening after a rainy day. Overall, Great stay!

The Fort Sutter Hilton Hotel provided my wife and I the absolute best hotel experience ever. We were visiting our son, who was a patient at a nearby hospital, as this hotel location was right across the street. The entire hotel staff was amazing. Their professionalism and genuine care for our difficult situation with our son’s illness was on full display every single day during our stay. The hotel manager, Steven, was gracious enough to allow us to stay on our schedule, depending on the changing status of our son’s health. The people, the comfort, the entire experience at the Fort Sutter Hotel will always have a special place in our heart. Steven, you’re the best ever, bar none!
