My husband and I went in to get a carrot ? cake ? , cookies ? and other goodies. Everyone was so helpful. Colin was very kind and patient with us as we couldn’t remember what we wanted. Freeport bakery is a very reliable place to get any baked goods they have. I have ordered a cake for birthdays here a couple times now and it never disappoints. I have also just gone the day of the party and got a cake of the case and it was wonderful.I especially love the pretzels and cookies from here. ????Kid-friendliness: They have cookies and other items that are simple for the kid pallet
Wonderful selection! Delicious danishes!You can tell everything is made with care. I got the raspberry Danish, and the chocolate croissant. Can get a little busy in the morning.....but most certainly worth the wait!

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, EMPLOYEES, and MANAGER. I went in around 8:30am today to pick up some case items and witnessed an employee and the manager being extremely rude and insensitive to an elderly man. The man picked up a muffin and was rushed by an employee to head to check out. The person checking the man out rudely told the man that they don’t accept cash, only card payment. The man proceeded to hand the employee his card only for the employee to physically touch his card and direct it to the machine to pay all while the card was in his hand. She didn’t bother to politely assist him or take the card and help the man. When the man was getting ready to head out, the manager rushed him and rudely asked him to hurry out the door as they were busy. I was so taken aback and appalled by the situation. My friend called the manager after witnessing the whole thing and expressed her disappointment, only to have the manager (Marlene) say and I quote “we stopped caring about that a long time ago” when I questioned their customer service. She was insensitive, unprofessional, and lacked compassion for customers that keep Freeport bakery thriving. I’m disgusted and disappointed by their service and lack of response to correct the issue. I’ve been a customer for decades and will share this story to everyone who shops there. Funny how KCRA decided to highlight them today when things like this are happening even though the owner dosen’t take accountability in these negative reviews but instead makes excuses.
