The dumplings had thick wrappers, and while the beef and pork chive flavors were ordinary, the portion size justified the price. The savory and spicy chili sauce complemented the dish well, while the sweet sesame sauce added a pleasant contrast.

Even though the dining room is not my favorite part of the experience, I love it. The food is good. The young gentleman who works there alone at dinner time handles the cooking and customer service very well. I have to give an additional star just for him! I'll return and try more on their menu next time.Vegetarian options: They have vegetable dumplings available on the munuParking: Both parking garage and street parking are available nearbyKid-friendliness: The dumplings are so yummy and easy for the kidsWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the ground floor. No problem with a wheelchair.

Hao Bao Dumplings falls short of expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it. The dumplings were disappointing, and were excessively thick and chewy. While the pan-fried option was marginally better than boiled, it was very oily. The Beijing noodles lacked an appealing flavor, and despite being a budget-friendly option, the overall meal lacked authenticity.

The dumplings and hand pulled noodles are delicious. The service was excellent. I gave a 3 stars for Atmosphere is because the restaurant is set up more like a grab and go. Overall we enjoyed our meal.?Parking: Meter Street parking and Paid parking lots. It is downtown so may be hard to find parking.

Amazing food very well priced and great service. 24 dumplings was plenty filling for two people.

Accidentally ordered twice, got a refund for free and kept it. Fried dumplings were on fire. Great server and cooking. I'd come here again if I'd actually live here.

It'd be great if they could drop more than 1 order at a time in the boiling water so I don't have to wait an hour for 1 order of plain boiled dumplings.

Came in on a whim and I’m glad I did! The pan-fried beef dumplings were great! Loves the house sauce and the spicy chili sauce, too. Came out hot and fast with friendly service. And it’s a great deal, very affordable for plenty of food.

Unfortunately, this place wasn’t it. Coming out of the area, missing Asian food like back in my hometown, I was craving good food.Food — I ordered the steamed pork dumplings. The dough was too thick and gummy. The meat was not flavorful and was a similar texture to the dough. It was a mouthful to chew through.I also ordered the Beijing Noodles. The noodles were just as bad as the dough. They were thick, slimy, and gummy. The pork sauce was too chunky and didn’t coat the noodles. So eating the noodles was a nightmare. The only positive is that it’s a lot of food for each serving. Unfortunately, that alongside the taste, I only ate 30% of my food.Service — They forgot a part of my friend’s order. Another one of our friends wasn’t given a spoon for her soup. Trying to ask someone for utensils was unfortunately impossible. They came to the table, dropped off the food without saying anything, then immediately left. Understandably, it was busy, but a simple “enjoy” would alleviate the issue.Atmosphere — Trust me, a sign of a good Asian restaurant is that it looks like a hole in the wall. I took that as a hopeful good sign for this place. But when the food and service is terrible, it flips the meaning of “a whole in a wall” type of atmosphere. It was just adding salt to the wound at this point. The tables were sticky and decor is lackluster. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place. I feel awful for my friends for since I wanted to come here. We didn’t have a good experience whatsoever. It wasn’t worth the $30 for my meal.

I travel for work and saw this place last time I was in town, but I had already eaten so told myself I would try it next time.I am so glad I did! I couldn't decide which dumpling to get, so I ended up getting both the beef & pork. They both were delicious, but I think I like the beef the best! I opted for the pan fried version of both after reading some reviews and I am glad I did! I got the house sauce with both, and ordered two extra sauces, because I like a lot of sauce (haha). 3 would have been enough. You order on a screen, pay, and wait just a few minutes. There are a few tables and bar seating there, but I opted to take it to go. I will definitely come back again.

This place is situated on K st and a good spot to have lunch if you want something quick . They have chicken, pork, and beef dumplings, which is pretty awesome for those who do not eat pork. The dumplings are very meaty, and I prefer them to be pan fried because the boiled ones can be gummy at times. One thing I did not like was the Beijing noodle. It is way too salty . I couldn't even finish a quarter of the dish. I wanted to like it so bad because the pulled noodles are delicious . The staff is nice. The location is prime. Go here for dumplings or even try the soup because it's decent

My wife heard about this place and was super excited to finally try it. Ordering is super quick and easy through their tablet up front and we got our dumpling in like 10 minutes, but they tasted amazing for being so quick!

Wrapped up a weekend visit to Sacramento and decided to grab a quick bite before leaving for the airport.Soo, soo happy we stopped at Hao Bao Dumplings - the restaurant was clean, bright and the staff were very friendly. We ordered the pork dumplings pan-fried per recommendation of our server. She brought them outside to us with a big, happy smile on her face and even came back later to check-in to see if we needed anything else. The pork dumplings were cooked to perfection - crispy, hot, juicy and packed with flavor.Make sure you try the chili oil -soo phenomenally yummee, great flavor with the perfect kick of heat. The portion was generous, so glad we chose to share an order, we both left with very happy, full bellies.Wish we had discovered this place earlier in our visit so we could have tried more of the dishes.Being a life long dumpling fanatic, I can happily say that Hao Bao is definitely one of my top five dumpling places.
