Ordered online - they didn't give option to choose spice level and the default was so mild it was bland. When I arrived the food was already ready- but not all of it, I had to remind them of missing pieces- no apology, brought food home and we were universally unimpressed. Been here dozen time before but this time was a fail.

Absolutely delicious! The food is fresh, well spiced with complex flavors. The tandoori chicken was tender and juicy. We paired it with their goat cheese naan and it was heavenly. The service is always friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is casual but the food is served elegantly. We want to come back for their lunch buffet to try more of their dishes.

the chicken was completely raw. I tried to call & let the restaurant know but they essentially told me since im the only complaint that came in, next time i order i can let know know i like my chicken "overcooked."in order to get my money back, i had to go through DoorDash to get a refund - and they only refunded the chicken. I didnt feel safe eating anything i ordered because im a recent cancer survivor and my immune system is compromised. very poor experience from this restaurant and DoorDash. will not be ordering again.

My boyfriend and I went here, looking for a new Indian spot. We had high hopes but we were sadly disappointed. We ordered dumplings and palek paneer. The dumplings were ok, and the palek paneer was lacking paneer. We only got 5-6 pieces. We also ordered the mixed grill thali, which came to about $30. It was said to come with chicken, salmon, shrimp, lamb and rack of lamb. The salmon and chicken were quite good. The lamb was disgusting, tough and over cooked. We inquired about the rack of lamb. And they pretended that they couldn't understand us. We had asked for a discount since we hadn't gotten what we ordered. They ignored us and gave the bill, which my boyfriend paid because he didn't want any trouble. They were so rude to us I was livid, very dismissive of my because I was a woman. I never leave reviews, but I was absolutely appalled at this place. The food was like a 2.5/10. Service was 0. If you're looking for good Indian food, go to Bombay grill, they're a little more pricey but the food is 10x better and their service is 10/10.

I had a great experience over here. Especially the person named Daman was very humble. Had a great conversation with that guy.Talking about food, just like the way I thought. Best food I ever had in California. Moreover, the environment is very good, peaceful and hygienic.Would love to visit again.Want to recommend this place to everyone. Go without any second thought.Thank you guys for the great service.

Stopped in for samosas on my 30 minute lunch break. They had just opened and got right to my order. The food was handmade, came with 2 different sauces & piping hot. Hunger satisfied!

This place used to be Kathmandu. When it became Star, it dropped the buffet. However at the start of October 2023, the buffet came back. They need a lot of work. Menu items was acceptable however they did not have enough serving utensils. They get a star for having veggie samosas in the buffet. Naan. Bread was in the buffer, so it is not hot and fresh. Barely any lamb meat and without bones. It was not a curry but a broth.. will have to visit again to judge.

Ordered spinach saag & lamb Lal Maas, mango chutney, naan, paratha, dal, side veggies. The saag & lamb were terrific. & who doesn't love hot, buttery puffy naan?! The darling young waitress was so attentive & helpful guiding me through 5 pages of daunting choices in most sweet & patient way. Yelp ought to get rid of the reviews over 2 yrs old! They're under new mgt (between pandemic & being robbed would make the best places struggle at times people!). I recommend the buffet above all to sample & learn your favorites of this complex, delicious & ancient cuisine. Namaste!

I feel bad giving this place 3 stars, because it can be great, but it is inconsistent. Food quality is just a little inconsistent, and sometimes they don't make it nearly spicy enough even when asking for it very hot. Service varies - the wait staff is generally nice, but can be way too passive and not check in at all after bringing the food. There may be a big difference in the takeout vs dine-in quality - have only gotten takeout once here, but it was not good: smaller portions with fewer vegetables, almost no spice, eggplant was undercooked, and the mutter paneer had very few peas(!). Really hoping this place can get more reliably good

Food-wise it's okay. I got the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka, naan and vegetables biryani. I liked the chicken tikka the most from what I got; the mild spice level packs a nice punch. I wish there was more chicken in the dish.Samosas weren't anything to write home about. Same with the biryani. The naan were on the thinner side so you don't feel as guilty.Ambiance was mellow and a bit dark inside. There wasn't any other customers while I dined in; when I got there a couple left and when I left a group walked in. This place's business seems to be more on the take-out side.Comparing it to other similar business this place is just okay. Parking was a little bit of a hassle since it's on Broadway.

I am sure that everyone has different experiences but this was not it for me. I was not offered water at the beginning and had to ask for it. The kitchen closed while dining and did not take order after I called the guy while I had only ordered appetizers even though the sign outside says open.

Wonderful comfort food on a rainy day might be a bit overpriced for the portions we got.

Wait staff was subpar. Hard to communicate with staff. Lucky I am familiar with Indian cuisine. Food was Delicious. Right spice(heat) for each person in group. Well presented and prepared dishes. Only brought half our order to table had to go remind him 3 times about appetizers and rice we had ordered.
