This is a cute little Thai place but was interesting to me. Is when we wanted to order they asked us to scan the QR code for menu, but my husband eyesight is not good we ask for regular menu the older gentleman said they have none. BUT another group came in and ask for paper menu a young waiter handed the paper menu to them. Not a good vibe to start our dinner. The food taste good but the crab fried rice with a bit cold. The curry is delicious and the pad see ew was interesting because I've always had it with Chow fun noodles, but it came in this thin rice noodle, which was surprising. Not the same flavor not the same taste. We did not enjoy that.

Excellent service and excellent food. If you are in Sacramento, I highly recommend this place. The way to make the unagi is excellent.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Sac! Located in Midtown and parking can be difficult, but there is some street parking about a block away from the restaurant. The workers are very friendly and were quick to bring our food out. Items ordered: - Khao Soi with slow braised chicken ($17): I love the creamy and sweet flavor of this dish! The portion fills you up quickly and the soup is rich and full of a curry-like flavor. The chicken was very tender and comes as 2 large bones. A great dish for a cold or rainy day! -Tom yum soup with chicken ($7): The soup comes in a small bowl so it's meant as a single serving. I wish it came as a bigger size so I could share with others. The soup was sour and tangy and came with many mushrooms which I liked. Not super spicy too. I have also tried the Massaman Curry before which is one of their signature dishes and the flavor was immaculate. Definitely recommend Kin Thai for their amazing food!

The only thing that was okay was the mango sticky rice. We came from Cupertino to try this place and we are so disappointed. The food is really really bad. We don't get it. 3 of us ordered some appetizers and main dishes, none of them is good. The pad Thai was okay but still can't not to compare any of the Thai restaurants in the bay. The service was slowwwwwww and one of the middle age looking like waiter was picking his nose in front of the public, grosssss.

I love this place! The staff is so nice and attentive and the food is DELICIOUS. I especially love how all the dishes are presented and served. It takes it all up a level. The iced Thai green tea alone is enough to make me come back.

This is probably my favorite Thai spot in Sac, and definitely one of my all-time favorite spots. Their Khao Soi is phenomenal. Their curries are flavorful and very fresh. The service is fast and reliable despite a busy spot in midtown. Always a great spot to catch up with friends, and a stop I recommend to anyone visiting Sacramento!

Delicious taste of Thai food! There are so many great options for authentic thai food and some other different creations! Kao soi is one generally one of my favorite thai dishes and Kin Thai has exceeded my expectations. The broth was so creamy and the toppings were perfect. My husband got the boat noodles, which was a newer dish for me, but the was surpassingly really good! The broth was herby and the meat perfectly cooked. The staff were super welcoming and also checked in on us frequently. Loved the vibe of the place. Very spacious with lots of seating.

This is my favorite Thai spot in Sac. It is the only place I have found my favorite dish (apart from a super niche out of the way place in east Oakland. Most Sacramento epicureans won't be making their way to East O so consider this a comparable uptown alternative.) The soft shelled crab curry dish really unique. I've ordered it a few times at Kin. This last time in particular it was loaded with fresh crab meat in addition to the fried soft shell they laid on top so it doesn't get soggy. That's a classy touch. The only other dish I've had is the papaya salad. It's tasty but has too much heat for me to truly enjoy. If you don't eat heat for sport I suggest asking them to hold the bird's eye chiles and get some on the side. You can always add heat but it's near impossible to mellow out once it's in there. Both my to go and dine in experiences have been lovely. A must try if you are in Sac and enjoy authentic Thai cuisine.

My experience at Kin Thai was eh. The food was okay. We ordered Calamari to start and I thought it could've used a little more seasoning-- the sauce saved it. It reminded me of a sriracha aioli with a kick of lime. We also got the Egg Pad Thai and Isan Steak. The Pad Thai lacked flavor and tasted gummy. The steak and mango sticky rice were the only thing we really enjoyed. It was a packed house on a Monday night and there were only two servers working. I get it, but it was really annoying waiting 15-20 minutes in between meals. I don't think I'd come back.

Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in Sacramento! I've been here so many times and enjoyed my experience every time. I've eaten most vegetarian items on the menu but I always have to order their pad thai as they have the flavor perfected. It's not too sweet or savory and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. Authentic flavors, great portions, aesthetic dishes, and reasonable prices! This will always be my go-to Thai restaurant!

We tried this place again and I ordered the ga prao with ground chicken and my partner ordered the yellow curry with chicken. My partner liked her meal and I really loved mine. It had a good spice level and I really liked the chicken, peppers, and overall flavor. The egg was a plus too. The service here was great, the food didn't take too long and they quickly took our orders and refilled our waters. I also like the indoor seating and general vibe indoors. I definitely recommend trying this place.

i arrived at kin thai exactly at 4:30pm on a wednesday, so the place was empty. around the time that i ended my meal, there were about four other groups there so i can say that you don't have to struggle to get a table on a weekday. i got the pork belly ga prao with thai spice and i absolutely LOOOOVED it. if you don't know what to order here then please order this dish! they did such a great job at making this meal because there was so much flavor in the sauce, the meat was chewy and juicy in the middle, but there was a nice crisp to the outer skin of the pork belly. even though the pork belly absorbed so much of the sauce, there was still left over sauce to mix your rice into. i was originally debating if i should get the boat noodle or if i should get the ga prao, and i'm so happy i chose the ga prao! service was also nice! there wasn't anything extraordinary, but our server was kind and came to our table like five times just to refill our waters (the water cups are also suuuper small btw lol) i hope i can come back again in the future to try out their other dishes!

Yellow curry with chicken was tasty. Especially liked the finely sliced vegetables, which went suprisingly well with the curry sauce. The crab omlette was a major disappointment; lots of crab, but it tasted old. Service was excellent, and the vibe chill.

I was craving the yellow curry from this place tough after my first time eating there with some coworkers. Everyone else loved their food too (no boxes were taken home lol) I also recommend the quail egg appetizer. My baby liked that one too. I can’t wait to try more of their menu. The service was also great each time I visited.
