This place is a staple in Sacramento for their carnitas and menudo. Their bakery has some of the best and freshest bread. And to top it off, their prices are not out of the roof like some fancy bakeries are. 1000% recommend.
It's the door that is right next to the la Esperanza grocery store and it always has a line it's always busy but it's really worth the wait I always get the chicken burrito and it comes with the beans and rice ECT and it's pretty filling and a decent size and the prices aren't outrageous very affordable. Listen u have like 5 to 10 bucks you're going to get at decent meal breakfast lunch or dinner.

They have the best carnitas. Lines are kind of long. Should order ahead of time if you're picking up food or Masa to make

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Esperanza, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The menu offers a wide variety of classic Mexican dishes, each crafted with care and attention to detail. I started with the savory and satisfying carne asada tacos, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The tender meat paired perfectly with the fresh cilantro, onions, and homemade salsa.

I want to point out that i haven't even tried the combo i ordered yet which consisted of a #2 cheese tamale and carnitas burrito. This is for the horchata. This is not only by a mile the best horchata of my entire life this was quite possibly without exaggeration the best drink ive ever had and im in my high 30s, not a joke they are not playing with the horchata game here. Nobody even comes close i drank the whole 24 oz drink in about 1.5 minutes then begged to buy a refil without waiting a second time in the long out the door line. A winner from every direction
