I drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant. The food is sadly VERY disappointing . Their bun mam fermented fish soup was so sweet and strangely full of grains, it was inedible. I asked for the pho, I tried to go more basic to give them a fair shot. The pho too was extremely sweet. Aside from the toppings tasted nothing like pho. But the worse part of my experience was the water . I loved the pandan infused water. However, the elderly gentleman who served it to me, had obviously been smoking a cigarette not too long ago because the entire cup smelled of cigarette. When I politely asked if I could please have another cup that didn't smell like cigarette he brought me back another cup that too reeked of cigarette smell. I wish I could've liked this place because it seemed really promising and the decor shows thoughtfulness, which sadly is not reflected in the food. I left with none of my food paid my bill, and quietly left.

Pho was decent. Taste wise it's a bit on the sweet side. I would like to try their other noodles. Water was so refreshing. Idk what they infused it with but it's so refreshing. Nice ambiance. Service was average.

Five stars to encourage them and hope they can stay around. Writing this after 3rd time trying. First time was right when they just opened and everything was chaos. Second and this time were good. My husband and I tried Bún riêu, BBH, and Bún mắm. The food tasted good. In fact, my husband said this is the best BBH he had in the area. The ambience is nice and clean. One can clearly see that they tried. And I appreciate the places when I can see the clear efforts. I wish them the best bc I sure hope they stay around and give another option we can pick from to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. One thing I have to note is maybe experiment more with the menu, add more or really market your best dish. Before you drive in more traffic, not sure if having Bun Riêu only during the weekend is the best move ... Just my two cents

Very nice decor inside. Food is good only drawback is that they don't have any napkins at the table. They are new, so they will have time to work the kinks out. I would recommend this place to someone who wants to try something new.

The food is good, but portion is quite small for the price. Very little rice for cơm tấm. Less than half of a box full for bún mắm $17.

Tried this place for the first time with my wife. We both ordered their Sunday special the bun mam. I like their twist on this with the addition of the tamarind dipping sauce and bitter melon as a veggie condiment. Only thing is that they should have napkins and fish sauce at the table. Overall I would recommend this place and will definitely be back to try their other dishes.

The noodle soups are AMAZING! The staff are polite and courteous. If I can give more than 5 stars for the service they provide, I would. They ran out of baguette when I ordered it, but one of the staff went out of his way to buy some just so I could have it with my fried eggs. That is what I call a SUPERB customer service.
I'm so glad to have discovered this new restaurant in South Sac! Beautiful and nostalgic decor, quality hard-wood tables. Great foods and great service! My family tried phở, bún riêu, cơm tấm, bún thịt nướng, they all tasted amazing! I dare to say the dishes are ones of the best I've tried in Sac area. Price is also affordable and large portion. I definitely will keep coming back here.

Cute decor! It feels warm and vibrant. They really transformed the space beautifully. RIP Ocean King. Our jaws dropped when we walked in. It feels like somewhere we can sit eat and drink. They play good music and there's so much to look at. They have a cute classic moto right in the middle of the restaurant. Service: 10/10!! Our waiter sat us immediately and made sure iced waters were on the way right when we sat. Other waiters came around refilling water frequently. I really love seeing the Sacramento OG waiters from older restaurants working in new gen restaurants like this with other young waiters. Props to this restaurant for the opportunities for their employees! Special of the day (Sunday): Bun Mam (fermented fish sauce noodle soup) aka Vietnamese Gumbo Yum with the acquired taste. I'm impressed with the consistency of their tamarind dipping sauce. Not too sweet and not too thick. The soup itself is a great balance. Not too salty! Really loved the way they make their fried fish for the soup. Only downfall was the crispy pork was sitting in the soup for a tad too long so no crisp. Fermented orange Lemonade: yum!! Not salty at all. The juice was sweet and tasted delicious. Other items tasted: Pho - broth clear and delicious. Really enjoyed all the flavors of the broth. Can't speak for the meal itself since it wasn't mines. Com Thit Nuong - (broken rice bbq pork) yum! They have fried pork as a topper. Yum!!

Yelps says opened till 7pm, however took my family there on Monday at 4:30 and the places was closed... pitched back in the restaurant and no cars in the parking lot at all. Don't waste time going there.

I stop by for Saturday specials. They offer crab meat noodle soup. It's very delicious, so i like it. Moreover, this is the third time I have it. Same quality every time. I will come back again to try something else.
