The food and service at this establishment never disappoint. It’s a great neighborhood spot with a low key and relaxed vibe. I particularly enjoy the patio and that part of the restaurant has roll-up garage doors to make most of the interior dining area open-air. Breakfast is served late, which is a bonus. The only potential drawback is parking - the parking lot is modest. You can find 2 hour parking on Freeport and in Land Park but the side street parking around the restaurant is one hour only. I’m not deducting stars for that, though. I hope this place is here for a long time.

Came in on a Saturday morning for breakfast and was seated within 5 minutes. Staff was amazing! Very attentive and kind. The cappuccino was perfectly made, my husband ordered a second! Can’t wait to go back for some more nutella filled french toast and chorizo benedict.

Just ate here with my family. The food was not bad. I've been here several times before, but after this experience I figured it was time to give a rating, and 3/5 sums it up very generously. It was not too busy. We ordered our food and drinks which trickled in slowly which was fine, but we were barely able to finish what we ordered before they were asking if we needed anything else. At first I didn't mind and saw it as attentive. Others in my party saw it as being rushed. Once I noticed they brought the bill when we were still ordering, I too felt rushed. It was 7:45pm and they close at 10pm and other people were still there dining. I guess I would understand if we were not ordering but we were ready to order more, so I don't understand the rush to get us out. We ended up going somewhere else after to finish our evening. If we felt welcome we would have stayed and still would have been out an hour before closing. It felt like they didn't want our business which I didn't understand because I feel like a very pleasant customer. I would say if you want to be In and out, go here, but I can't say that because the last time I went here, it took forever to get any service. I'm only leaving this review because I hope they improve. It's a cool spot with a nice ambiance and decent food.

I've enjoyed everything here so far except the fish from the fish and chips. They tasted like frozen fish filets.

The food here is kind of hit or miss. Like this evening I ordered fish and chips which was not much better than frozen fish sticks but my partner ordered the spicy shrimp noodle salad which was really fresh and tasty so good luck ?‍♀️

This restaurant used to be good. The quality of the food has decreased dramatically. If you order eggs Benedict, you are going to be disappointed as the eggs and sauce are poorly made. Plus the price of the food is way to expensive for what it is. The only good thing was my coffee.

This used to be a great place but over the last two years, the quality as well as the portions have gone downhill. There is no consistency and a huge lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I can't really recommend this place. It just sucks!

If you're in search of a dining establishment boasting a diverse menu with an air of relaxed refinement, Meat and Eat is the quintessential destination. Each time I've dined at this establishment, it has been an exceptional experience. As a longstanding patron, I find a four-star rating to be fitting, recognizing that even the finest restaurants may occasionally falter, but it in no way diminishes their overall quality.Their brunch offerings are simply delectable, with the carbonara standing out as a must-try. I invariably opt to enhance it with shrimp or salmon, and it never fails to impress. It's worth noting, however, that during peak hours, particularly on weekends, the restaurant tends to fill up rapidly, given its prime location within a bustling neighborhood. Also they have limited parking so I suggest parking somewhere else and then walking there. So if your in the neighborhood I highly reccomend you try it out

The food is wonderful but I was unable to place a takeout order. The phone goes straight to voicemail, the online ordering system hasn’t been updated to match the in-person menu, and the “I’m not a robot” feature in the online ordering wasn’t mobile compatible so I got kicked out of my nearly completed order.
