Ordered the chicken fish and shrimp. It was too crunchy, too hard, too salty. Absolutely disappointing.

I walked in and was greeted by Mo not knowing it's her place. She went back to so some. looking and I was greeted by another nice person who patiently wait while I looked over this amazing wide menu. Finally I put my order in and I was waiting and while I was waiting another customer that was sitting in there was telling me about some more of the good food that get made there which was very informational because it sounds just like things I need to eat so while we were talking she mentioned something about the goulash. Long story short Miss Moe brought me a sample of the goulash and I had to buy some it was delicious. We will be coming back because I want some peach cobbler and it's ready tomorrow thanks Moe and you will see me again.

Closed an hour early. Bad customer service. I came on 11/2 at 6:40pm and the man at the front register was speaking with a customer and told me that the restaurant was closed. I then said “you’re closing early?” and he confirmed that the store was closing early for the day.

Review is a year old from Google, but I wanted to share the love on Yelp too! Amazing food, staff, music, everything! My boyfriend and I had a few different things like the chicken tenders (me), waffle cut fries, Mac n cheese, rice&beans, fried okra, and he had the shrimp. Oh and the lemonade! I wish that they were closer to my home because I would definitely go here a lot. Definitely check them out if you're in area. They have amazing reviews for a reason!

A couple of years back during the pandemic when I was laid off and doing Doordash, I picked up from a small place on Stockton Blvd that smelled amazing and was blasting Curtis Mayfield when I walked in. I couldn't get it out of my head. Years have passed and I don't go out that way much but I finally figured out the name of the place and dragged my friend out for a to go order and I'm sooooo glad I did. Alligator nuggets were delicious but the fried chicken was some of the best I've ever had. Might pick up a bunch and make waffles at home for brunch next weekend. Really happy there are places like this in Sacramento.

I went there during their regular scheduled hours as posted on their door and online and they were closed. No signs posted as to why or even that they would be closed for x amount of time. This was our first experience and we were looking forward to it. I doubt we will drive all the way over there again.

I didn't like the food I got the Hennessy wings, seafood mac, jambalaya, and banana budding I'm not even going to get into detail .... . Everybody was hyping this place., there are better places. I was still happy to support a black business.

Went for the 1st time with my daughter and will definitely be back! We had the fish sandwich, catfish, mac&cheese, yams & blue velvet cake. Everything was seasoned very well and the portions were generous. I definitely felt like I got my monies worth. The staff was very attentive and accommodating.

They went down hill not how they used to be at all. The Mac n cheese ain’t even Mac n cheese it’s more like no cheese Cajun pasta and the catfish nuggets is small as a noodle.
THE BEST FOOD IN SAC! If you don't try their seafood Mac and cheese, forever know... you haven't experienced food ecstasy. Everything on the menu is a crazy good!

When I TELL you this was the best damn soul food/finger food Ive ever had take me seriously! This place is amazing. I had the Hennessy wings(which she can make spicy on request), garlic fries, chicken strips, corn bread, & chocolate cake and ALL of it was good. Good people and good food. They doing it right y'all.
