Very expensive. I tried bbq chicken leg quarter once which seemed really simple and bland and another time had beef brisket, which turned out to be tough and dry. Really disappointed. I understand prices have increased everywhere due to inflation but just coz it's halal doesn't mean the price will be ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed!!! Complete waste of money and time. Ribs were tough and over cooked. They needed more bbq sauce which may have helped the flavor. Macaroni and cheese left much to be desired. After those disappointing tastes I didn’t taste the greens as they no longer looked green. Needless to say, I’m still in search for a good bbq place.

Had the halal bbq from moonlite. Awesome hospitable people with generous portions. Tried the brisket, tritip, ribs and for sides had the mac and cheese, and potatoe salad, smak Cheese and baked means. My fav side was the baked beans. Super smokey with tons of flavor. Next was potatoe salad and the other 2 sides were good but not my preference. The smak cheese was totally different and very smokey. I think it was just too heavy for me but i can see people loving it. As for the meats, i loved the tri tip and brisket the most. The ribs would be a distant third for me. My favorite item was the bean pie. Miss eating it after jummah prayer on the east coast. It is a staple at many predominatly black mosques and this one is pretty on point! Check em out!

Halal bbq We FINALLY have some AMAZING southern BBQ up here! The owner is incredibly nice, his 2 year old son came out to give us all cold water bottles as we waited for our food. He's from Louisiana and said he makes his southern bbq authentic. And authentic is what we got! We tried almost everything on the menu. The brisket was my favorite. It was smoked for 24 hours and served to us with a delicious bbq sauce. We loved the amazing smoked taste to it! The ribs were really good and the meat just fell off the bone. Chicken legs were bbq'd and delicious but I was too distracted by how amazing the ribs and brisket were. All the sides were bomb too. From the Mac and cheese and pasta salad to the hot links and baked beans, each was absolutely delicious and a wonderful pairing to the other foods. The truck sits daily 12-9 pm at 5980 24th St Sacramento, CA 95822
