When I was a little girl all the Japanese restaurants had a traditional interior. Tots, in Little Tokyo LA only place I've been to recently which had the same interior. In comparison, this place is tasteful and cute.

I would not recommend this place if you have infants. My husband and I wanted to go out with his brothers family they have a 2 month old and we have one month old. We were given a table but were told that we can't have the baby's with us. The kids were sleeping in the car seats. There was enough space for then to walk around us but they just chose not to. We just left and went to a different place. There is restaurants that don't allow pets but I have never heard of a sushi restaurant that doesn't allow infants. Shame!!!
The love boat for 2 was quite fresh. I enjoy the atmosphere and our service was great.

The food is delicious. Even the simple meals are packed with great flavor. The miso soup is the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and quick. Everything is priced very well for portions and flavor. I've been there twice now and both experiences have been exceptional. It is my new favorite spot. Would recommend making a reservation. If you don't and hve to wait it's worth it.

We went in at 6:30 on a Friday, and they were packed. We got take out-only a 20 minute wait! The staff was so sweet and helpful, and the sushi was delicious. I'd recommend the mamasan and genki rolls <3

Very good and authentic Japanese sukiyaki. They also have great sushi appetizers to complement the food. We visited on a rainy day so the nabeyaki udon hit the spot. It was quite busy wen we visited so the good came out a bit late (30 minutes). But not a bad place if you want the time to wait...

Nagato is a hidden gem. The food is so flavorful and the staff so friendly. I enjoy the soup, salad, rolls, tempura, the entrees (chicken teriyaki, yum!) Everything is delicious and not heavy.
