This place used to be good. Now this location is terrible. If you want good Nash & Proper order from “Nash & Proper-The Line”. This location is skimpy on literally everything. The cauliflower florets are itty bitty, they put barely any slaw or sauce on the sandwiches, the hot oil is not as spicy as it’s supposed to be, and the food is always cold. I’ve tried to give them a couple more tries just in case it was on off day, but no. Extremely disappointing.

Hands down best friend chicken sandwich I ever had. Great crunch to the breading, super juicy chicken inside, can customize the spice level, addictive flavor, and of course not your typical pickle, great way to finish it out.

Tried the Sammich (hot) with fries and a Mexican Coke. At first I was a bit confused by one of the flavors I got in the chicken alone but then I took a bite where I got everything all at once. Okay, never mind. I just had to get everything. It's hard to compare the flavors at this place to other hot chicken places- or really too many of them to one another- since I've had five of them and all of them (including the three five-star ones, another of which is also in Sacramento) were entirely different from one another, though I can say the heat level here is definitely lower than that at the others. So there's that, the fries are well-spiced, guy who took my order was nice, location has a comforting "neighborhood restaurant" feel. Worth trying no matter what you've thought of other hot chicken places due to how different it is from others.

i placed a take out order on a Saturday afternoon for pick up. the fried cauliflower was good. the chicken tenders were likely fried twice based on the dark color and so dry they were hardly edible. I ate 1 of the 3. my experience wasn't good and left me feeling disappointed and feeling like I had just wasted $37.

One of the best, if not the best, hot chicken sando options in Sac! BUT, turn the LED "Beer" sign off and remove the tap list from the bar if you're not pouring please! Very misleading and disappointing if you walk in there expecting to have a cold pint while waiting for your sammie.Staff has always been very friendly tho.

Their sandwich used to be my favorite, juicy, spicy, amazing... But the last 4 times I've had it (yes I kept trying thinking it was a fluke) it's just not the same anymore. I can't in good conscience recommend this place (truck or restaurant). It's like they expanded and lost quality control. Back in their prime I waited 2.5 hours for the sandwich from the food truck and was still happy when I ate it. Please restore to your former glory.

They set up shop in front of a state building and then take 45 minutes to get orders out. Terrible service and to top it off there was only two employees working. One only handled the register while the other employee did all cooking and prep. Very inefficient and annoying to watch for 45 minutes.

Every fourth time I come here I think "this is the time I can handle the spiciest setting." And then I'm wrong again.

Overall a delicious sandwich! I got the "hot" and it definitely had enough heat to live up to it. Seasoning blend was good but could have a little more depth, but still better that than many others I have tried. Staff was great, and price was fair for what they have on offer. Would not hesitate to come back next time I'm in Sac.

I've been to this food truck about 4 times and it does not disappoint! Chicken and fries are hot and flavorful. I got the cluckin hot and it was perfection. I've never been to their restaurant yet but plan to go soon.

I ordered from their food truck that was at my work with an estimated pick up time of 11:15am. I got to their truck at 11:30 and they didn't acknowledge anyone standing at the window until 11:50. Then they started giving out online orders around noon but also took orders at their window. Not only did they ignore my order, they gave out food to everyone that placed an order at the window for the next 15 minutes. My food was not ready until 12:25pm. The worst customer service I have ever experienced and I worked retail for 28 years. The guy at the window kept lying and saying they were working on the orders. I've only heard good things about Nash and Proper but from now on I can only say negative things. Food wasn't even that good for waiting an hour. Also, they didn't have any cauliflower items so all the vegans that placed orders were refunded without them knowing until they came to pick up their order which is extremely unprofessional.

I ordered from the food truck at an event and wasn't impressed with the chicken at all, lacking flavor. Please be CAREFUL with using a credit card for purchase and KEEP your recent, these shady people triple charged me for a $11 order, luckily my bank investigated and recouped the costs. Shame on the employee and this business, I will never order from here again.

Food was cooked well and it them for ever to get the order ready. In addition to that it was too pricey for no reason

I loved visiting this establishment when I came to a branch office and had free time. Very cool establishment. But after my last visit, I no longer plan to visit it, since the establishment has deteriorated a little in terms of cuisine. The buns became harder and the chicken pieces became smaller. The atmosphere hasn't changed much; it was still great. I hope they take this into account.
