zucchini bread was great as were the muffins. Ordered two BLTS and ended up throwing them in the trash, the bread was awful, like bad panini bread, there are better gf bread options out there.

Pushkin's Bakery in Midtown is a cute bakery close to the 80-freeway specializing in gluten free and dairy free baked goods. Inside is a quaint room, where you are greeted with a display case of their daily pastries and can catch a glimpse of employees in the backroom busy at work. I really enjoy their Green Turkey and #3 breakfast sando, as they have a good balance of greens, protein, and the gluten-free bread. Today, I ordered the Smoked Salmon, which I feel is their take on the classic cream cheese, salmon, and bagel flavor combination. The sandwich had a little less smoked salmon than I would prefer but tasted refreshing with the cucumbers and greens. If you are visiting for the first time, I would note that there is no seating inside. Outside of the bakery, there are 3 tables with umbrellas for seating. On the weekends during busy hours, plan to take/eat your food to go. Additionally, they do not serve any drinks or coffee at the Midtown location. A classic move is to grab a coffee nearby at Temple Coffee or the Pachamana Coffee in the Co-op to enjoy with your food! When it is busy, expect to wait up to 10-15 minutes.

Cold "donuts." Not really donuts just cold muffins they called donuts. They run out of bread every day and their pastries are old not fresh.

I called ahead to order half-dozen vegan/gluten-free cupcakes for some of our family members who don't eat traditional desserts. The person on the phone was pleasant and boxed up what I needed so it was ready for me when I came a couple hours later to pick it up. The cupcakes are nicely decorated and cost $5 each. Parking is a little difficult. I parked at the Natural Foods Co-op since I knew I wouldn't be long. The bakery is fairly small and it was a little crowded when I went in. They make sandwiches to order so there isn't much room to wait. Standing room only.

THe last 2 times I’ve come here, it has not been good. I came today at 810am and ordered a zucchini bread. It was so hard and chewy around the edges and the whole top. Very dry except for the very center. Basically had to waste it all because it was too difficult to eat and not yummy. So disappointed and won’t be returning here. I’d rather stick with the Roseville location

I placed an online order on the Feb 23rd for a birthday cake to be picked up today (March 2nd). This was for my nephew's 3rd birthday. The only thing he said he wanted for his birthday was a cake. He has an allergy to diary, so its been difficult for my sister to get him desserts. My nephew and his father went to pick it up today and was notified that they sold his cake. They did give them 6 cupcakes and cookies and me a full refund (which I still haven't seen). However they were very rude and nonchalant about the entire thing. This would have been the first time he had a cake, and when he woke up today, that's the first thing he asked for. Myself and my family will not be returning to this bakery or their sister places.

I ordered the gluten-free and vegan cookies and cream cake for my little one's birthday specifically to make sure my mother-in-law (who is lactose intolerant and has a gluten allergy) could enjoy it. I was so amazed at the quality of the cake. It was beautiful and delicious. I'm not vegan and was a little apprehensive about how it would turn out, but the texture, taste, and look were all spot on. This was literally one of the best cakes I've ever had and will be ordering from here again.Dietary restrictions: This place is perfect for gluten-free and/or vegan options!

This is the best gluten-free bakery I've ever had goods from. Other gluten-free bakeries pale in comparison. They're extremely busy throughout the day and often run out popular items. Namely, the "Andes mint cupcake." The quaint bakery has limited seating on the sidewalk. Staff is friendly and have a good system as they move the line quickly while still having time to explain the menu items. The sandwiches are so yummy and guilt free with the yummy gluten-free bread! I love the herbivore sando. This is a twice a week stop for me. Guilt free? One more thing though. Even though all goods have cross nut contamination, I feel that the baked goods really need better labels and clearly labeled ingredients. For instance, someone might have a walnut allergy but totally fine with almonds. Some people can eat cross contaminated items but not the certain nut. It's nuts, but that's the truth! I am sensitive to pecans but can eat peanuts, almonds, etc. Just better to be safe than sorry for the business and the consumers.

Oh my goodness, so happy to be back..there is something about florists and bakeries...the scent hits you first....they are closed as I write this but I am enjoying my blueberry coffee cake with my lemon yogurt and it's divine...even though I bought it yesterday. Thank you!!

Dang, great pumpkin bread loaf! This is our first leg to try out their other places. Apparently you have to another location to try their donuts. We will also try their restaurant. We lucked out with sunny weather and a little bite of nippy cold. Perfect for eating outside. FYI. Parking ain't the easiest to find around the bakery. My celiac partner rates her sandwich as a strong A. She got the hammer sandwich. Will return with an update on the other places
