Didn't have a good experience. My girlfriend and I came for a nice relaxing date night but did not get that. When we walked in we weren't seated, they asked for us to order up front even when we asked if we could order after being seated. Then, when we asked if we could sit, the waitress told us we can't sit at open tables. We ended up sitting at the bar but I thought it was ridiculous that we couldn't sit at an open table so I asked a different waitress and she said we could sit anywhere we like. At this point we didn't want to stay but we had already paid so we pushed through. When we did move to the area we wanted to sit, we saw the staff pointing at us and gossiping, and for the rest of the night we weren't helped, and no one stopped at our table for service. We even saw them help every table around us but they didn't even look our direction when walking by. We did nothing to warrant this and we ended up feeling guilty even tho we did nothing wrong except try to have a good dinner. If you want a good memorable meal and experience this isn't the place. The staff are very unprofessional and rude. Do better.

Good kitchen! The tom yum looks like a real one ? the staff is friendly. True, we had to wait a long time for the order.

Seafood Ramen & Black Garlic Ramen with chicken Delicious. The broth was really flavorful.

If I was drunk and in need of ramen I would come here. Broth was good and hit all the necessary notes of being ramen. However the pork was over cooked/bland. Plus the disposable silverware and big TV playing infomercials the whole time were big turn offs for me. I’d try somewhere new over coming here again.

IT USED TO BE. It was once good but now it is not worth it. Ramen broth is SUPER bland (and watery). It used to have more flavor. Cashu pork pieces used to be bigger but now they are way too small. They’re not even complete pieces. Black garlic oil ramen doesn’t have a lot of actual black garlic oil (not like it used to). Spicy level is not spicy at all. It used to be. More often than not the kitchen cooks always get something wrong with the order. But I think the workers are very nice. Perhaps not attentive as they should but nice nevertheless. I don’t know what happened but over the last 1-2 yrs the quality of the ramen has plummeted. It used to be my favorite go to ramen spot. Now I go just to get chashu rice bowl…even though they are now putting less meat in it.Ramen 101 Midtown: Please add more flavor to your broth, go back to larger chashu portions and add more garlic oil to your black garlic oil ramen. Oh and actually make the ramen spicy when it’s ordered spicy. Stop cutting back on portions sizes and quality of your ramen while increasing prices. Go back to the way it used to be please!

There is actually 2 menus to choose from. One is Ramen 101 and the other is the Orchid. We had food from both menus and all of it was great. We made a reservation for 13 people and they had no problem accommodation us.

The service was amazing no complaints there, as well as the the place itself. However, the food was terrible. I really tried pushing myself to have some more od that Ramen but the truth is.It tasted so watered down, like they made the ramen and then when they were about to run out they threw a bucket of water and let it cook. I came out gagging because I could not believe I ate that soup. One of the worst experiences I've had with food >:(

Went to Ramen 101/The Orchid for lunch. I didn't know they were the same restaurant which was very cool because my party was divided on what we wanted. The service was quick and friendly. The food was alright. Spice level was not that spicy like other Thai Restaurants around the area. The Ramen was good and came with a lot of toppings. The Pad Sew Ew and the Pad Thai were also good.

I go here all the time. I had tried nearby ramen places and their broth didn't have any flavor. This place always has flavor. I do admit sometimes they goof on the egg being flavorful or missing an item but it's overall still really good. I also have had their Thai food and appetizers like gyoza or geso fry and loved those. The service is usually quick and good. They mostly leave you alone once you have everything. When it's nice outside I love sitting outside next to the park. They always play the best music too (but I'm biased and like some EDM/house music (with lyrics of course)). To Go: Broth was hot. No items missing (even made a sub for me thank you :3) Flavorful eggs Broth has flavor and a kick (just like I like it- I did mild)

I really enjoy Ramen 101. I get the black garlic ramen and love the egg in it. Service is friendly, you won't see much of them. When the weather's nice, I like sitting outside.

We ordered ramen to go and it was very under seasoned for my taste. Luckily because we ordered to go we were able to add more seasoning and reheat it on the stove because it was cool by the time we went to eat it. The size of the bowl was good for the price. When I went to pick up the food I was directed to the bar but there was no one there to tell me which order was mine or if I needed to validate anything before taking it. The restaurant is two places in one but if inside you can order from either side of the menu.

We tried their chicken plate from their new Hawaiian bbq menu and it was delicious.

*** Vegetarian Review ***Quick review that I'll finish later, but for a vegetarian ramen, this is one of the better ones. Definitely ask for a medium spice level. I've tried it both mild and medium and mild is very bland. The ramen broth is vegetarian and not the sesame broth that some ramen houses offer. That sesame broth is so strong and overpowering, but this veggie broth was really tasty. The portions of all the ingredients were very generous - enough to share a bowl of ramen and order a vegetable tempura next time. I would eat here again.
