The food is always so great. Living in the Bay Area I was lucky to have so many good Mexican food restaurants. Moving to Sacramento it just was not the same. Found this place and the service and location is great. Always my go to!

I have passed this place many times being that I live down the street but never took the chance to stop. Boy I have been missing out on some really good Mexican food for way too many years. Everything was very delicious! I had the two beef taco meal with rice & beans. Very fresh ingredients. I will be back to try other items.

Roberta's is located on Freeport Blvd not far from Fruitridge Rd. First time here and wasn't blown away but I would return to try other menu items. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Our server was a bit inattentive and food did not come out all at once so some folks in our party had to wait. Nachos and Torta were good but the fajitas lacked meat for the price you pay. Pozole was lackluster as well. All in all, food is decent but there are better options out there.

I can't believe that I have lived in this neighborhood for 33 years and never tried this place!!!! What a great gem!!!! Authentic, delicious, and lots of options!!! Too many options (I'm not complaining), I had a hard time to choose. We settled for enchiladas and the secret family recipe birria. The food was excellent! The portions were huge. If you are not a big eater, one dish can easily be split into two meal. The price was reasonable. This is definitely now my go-to for Mexican food!!! The complimentary chips and salsa were great, although our waitress took them when I was still munching on them, that was a little bit odd. The chips were fresh and most likely homemade. There is a small private parking lot. Inside the restaurant, they have two section for seating. The side that we sat on had comfortable booths. The service was a little bit slow but very friendly.

It is very expensive and then they gave me the burnt chips and the meat was also burnt, the flavorless sauce had no salt and I will not return to this place

The food is good. I must admit. However, if customer service doesnt match. it's a no go for me. the last few times my order was taken incorrectly when I ordered my food. things have been forgotten. been on hold and forgotten..one or two times a sorry is ok. but now I need to find a new spot. the customer service alone for the prices I wouldn't recommend.

I cannot believe that this restaurant has been so close to me for so long and I have had no idea of the quality of food that it had until recently. This is absolutely one of my FAVORITE Mexican restaurants ever. I have always been a fan of El Novillero, Caballo Blanco, and Panchos, before it closed. However, there hasn't been a Mexican restaurant that I knew I could steadily order from where the food would not only always be amazing every time, but that I could also have the option to pick-up the order, or have it delivered. Then I found, Roberta's. When I ordered from them for the first time, I decided to stick with something basic. I ordered their two chicken taco combination plate, which came with rice and beans. I have not had tacos like this since I was a kiddo at my nana's house. The chicken is tender and flavorful, and the cheese, lettuce, and tomato are always piled on high. Not to mention that the taco shells themselves are always so perfect and crispy! Their rice and beans are absolutely delicious as well. After ordering from them a few times, I finally decided to have my daughter try it with me one night for dinner. She's 11 and can be on the picky side at times, so my hopes weren't too high. She decided to try their Super Burrito with asada and could not stop raving about how it was one of the best burritos she had ever tasted! Though we usually order for delivery, we have ordered for pick-up a couple of times and I will say that the food is always ready on time, and the customer service is always warm and wonderful. So whether you're looking for a place to grab tacos, or somewhere to grab pozole on the weekend, definitely stop by Roberta's.

While on a business trip in Sacramento, we searched for Mexican food and found Roberta’s Cocina Mexicana, which has a 4-Star rating and thought we’d give it a try. It was nearby and had good reviews. Parking was a bit hard to find due to the fact the location is in a shopping center. We ordered the Carnitas Plate, a Quesadilla de Asada plate and a Birria Plate. The chip salsa was bland at best but we then asked for hotter sauce. They brought us three different hot sauces and they were really good and really spicy at the same time. The food was good too but I feel the portions are too small for the price. Be ready to spend about $25-$30 per person on the lower end
