Food is always fine. Front of house is always a disaster. Last time, I had reservations set. Day before, I got an email saying my party size, day, and time had been changed. When I called to have them fix it, I was hung up on accidentally. When I finally got to someone, it was so loud the hostess couldn’t hear me and I had to shout to tell her my reservation was mistakenly changed. She had no idea how to fix and had to get her manager. He was too busy to help, but could yell questions at her and tell her how to fix it. UGH.Also- When you order online beware. It says 30-40 minutes, then you get a text your food is ready in about 15 minutes, so it’s often cold if you weren’t already on your way.

I really enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere and service. Their pho broth was very good, far exceeded my expectations. I also loved their cocktail program.I was a little disappointed in the lack of gluten free options especially for a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. They use soy sauce in a lot of their marinades. It would be an easy substitution to use gf tamari, that wouldn't change the flavor but would make more dishes accessible for gf folks.Other than that, I was very happy with my meal and also my server was very patient and knowledgeable about gluten and helped me find something I could enjoy.

We came in on a bike ride for a good break. And sat at the bar overlooking the street. Yummy scallops, pork skewers, green beans, & chicken rolls !! Our second time here. It was excellent. We will back♥️?‍♂️???

Best pho in town. Salmon & Tuna carpaccio can go toe to toe with heavy hitters like Binchoyaki and Kru. Be sure you get a reservation, as the bar is packed 24/7.

We came here after playing Top Golf in Roseville with a group of 6. They seated us fairly quickly and the wait wasn't long at all. Our server was really attentive and kept the waters filled. He was super nice and the food came out ridiculously fast. The table was a little cramped but we also ordered a lot of different dishes to try. I got the pho with a side of short ribs and some garlic noodles, we also got the calamari and betel leaf beef rolls to share. My boyfriend got some chicken dumplings and he liked them.We didn't try any drinks but they looked tasty! I liked the vibe and the restaurant was really clean and modern!

I only give a 4 star review because of the closing bartender on 1/7 not saying a word to us/ignoring us (when we sat at the bar in front of her) We had to grab the attention of someone else who happened to be Tanner.Tanner was personable and informative. If it wasn’t for Tanner we wouldn’t give Saigon Alley another try. Thank you Tanner for turning our experience around!!

This place is pretty nice but where here to talk about the food too. Mussels were great but the pho was fantastic. I remember visiting a few months ago and the beef pho didn’t hit but it was a different story today. Definitely hit the spot with the herbs and other flavors this time. One of the best phos I’ve had in a while!

This Saigon Alley location I believe is the first one here in Sacramento. However, the other location in the north is way better. We have came to this location first, I had their pho and it wasn't rich in flavor at all. If anything, it was very bland, but the ambience is superb. The inside looks absolutely amazing, I wish I could say the same about the food. When they poured in the soup into my bowl instead of it being hot to cook my rare meat on the side it was lukewarm.I do prefer the north location better.

TLDR: 10/10 would recommend. Try this place; you won't be disappointed. The food is fantastic, the service is good, and the restaurant ambiance is upscale and sexy, but you can definitely come casual. This is a great place for drinks and food with friends or date night. Parking on L Street may be a hassle, but there is definitely a lot of parking around. It is just a busy area without a lot of restaurants and shops. Things to Try:- Garlic Noodles - Crispy Prawns - Cheese Wontons - Garlic String Beans - Charglazed Bok Choy- Hanoi Pho (my friend's favorite)Longer Version:I am sooo in love with Saigon Alley! This place is literally sooo good. The restaurant is a beautiful gem. It definitely has a grown and sexy feel to it. There is a downstairs, which is located by the bar, and a nice upscale upstairs area. You can definitely dress casual or fancy, but the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice!I've been three times in less than a month. I went for dinner with a friend, and we split most of the food with each other. The food comes out as tapas (small, shareable apps). We started off with the chicken egg rolls. They were tasty but weren't my favorite item. I'm not a fan of mushrooms, so I think that was the only thing I didn't like about them, but they were good. We also got the garlic green beans, which were a 10/10. I loved them. They have a nice sweet-to-savory ratio and are truly phenomenal. During my first visit, it seemed like a restaurant staple was the garlic noodles. I got them and absolutely loved them. They are sweet with a nice savory kick from the garlic and onions. I love them! Given that there was no meat on them, I decided to get the crispy prawns to go with them. Amazing!! The crispy prawns were crispy and fresh. They come with a sweet chili sauce. Again, excellent. The service was also really great! The staff was friendly. I came back for a birthday dinner a week later and ordered the same thing, excluding the egg rolls. Instead of the egg rolls, I tried the cheese wontons. The cheese wontons are to die for. It's very similar to crab rangoons without the crab. There is a nice sweetness from the cheese and a savory touch from the onions and spices inside the fried wonton. This truly became my new favorite. Given that we had such a large party of 12, I was a little nervous, but the staff did an amazing job making sure that everyone was well taken care of. The food was brought out fairly around the same time, and someone was constantly coming to check on us. They even went as far as to help cut my friend's birthday cake (given that they couldn't give us a sharp knife) and brought out plates and forks. The restaurant had even closed, and they weren't rushing us to leave, either.I recently came back in the year. The service was eh, but the food was good per usual. I think the server I had was overwhelmed and kept forgetting things, but nothing a little reminder couldn't fix. This time, I got the usual but tried the charglazed bok choy. For it to be bok choy, it was really good! There was a nice char to them with a great sweet flavor from the glaze. I loved them, and I would definitely get them again. There is also a location in Natomas that has a slightly different menu but many of the same things. I have also been to that one. Try this restaurant out; you will not be disappointed.
