Very hearty bowl of ramen that was filling. I had the tan tan ramen with ground beef. It was very rich with fat but also a bit salty. Also ordered pork belly which was great, well fried and some spinach to help with the fat. The pork katsu was cooked sous vide then fried. Very very juicy and thick.

My heart and tummy are so happy. I have loved this place since I began eating at the 13th Street location about 5 years ago. I am glad they have reopened. I have tried other tan tan men, and nothing (NOTHING) compares. This made my week.

Excellent ramen that my family has been returning to for years. Order it Godzilla style for extra kick. For the best experience, arrive early, expect to wait, and appreciate the dedication that Shoki puts forward in running this restaurant. Many businesses promote themselves as mom-and-pop, authentic, or community oriented... This place is top tier in each category.Parking: Anticipate walking down the block during peak hours. Arrive early for prime parking spots.Kid-friendliness: Bring the whole family! Outdoor seating is easy for kids but older folks might find it uncomfortable, esp if sensitive to weather.

Delicious ramen (ordered the chasu tam tam ramen), friendly front of house staff, and timely service! Ate outside on a chilly January evening - fortunately outdoor patio is well-lit and heaters were available. Definitely enjoyed my visit and will be back!

It was soooooo good! It's been 3 years since I first experienced this amazing ramen. I traveled to Sacramento from Dallas to support a friend. I had to make a stop by the Shoki Ramen House. The service and hospitality were amazing. The atmosphere was so friendly, even the other customers were nice. The broth was so good that I wanted to pick up my bowl and slurp it up ..lol. I am already planning my next trip.

Super small. Way smaller than their last location. Felt like we were sitting in other people laps.Vegetarian options: Not a lot to choose from for vegetarians.

The food was good for what we ordered, the menu is not as extensive as it used to be, but has fairly good variety. The TanTan tastes a little different than what I remember, but all the highlights were there. Hopefully the chashu salad comes back from last time.

So good! The ramen has been missed and I'm really glad we got to taste it again. The garlic shoyou was absolutely delicious. Somthing that I appreciated were the variations of both flavors and textures within the bowl. Crunchy garlic bits along with a hardboiled egg and chewy (but not soggy) noodles. It is a different experience than on R St. The wait is long, and you pick up your food and bus your own tables. The price point is also much higher. Meaning this will be a special occasion type of dinner spot rather than a regular drop in on a whim spot. All in all I'm glad they are back!
