Ordered the Kare Kare and Crispy Fried Chicken and both were very dissapointing. The kare kare was watery and the beef pieces were chewy and I had some fat pieces without meat in mine. Portion of the meat was little to none. The crispy fried chicken was not even crispy. it was soggy on the outside and when bit into, the batter didn't seem to be fully cooked through. It was actually pretty gross and lacked seasoning. Easy wasted $$ for food we are not going to finish eating. Will be the first and last time ordering from South Villa.

The BEST Filipino Chinese Food in the Sacramento, close enough to Elk Grove, area. Ordered food from them for a small party of approximately 30 people. We taste-tested everything before ordering just to make sure it was great for our guests. What did we come up with as the final menu for the party? 1) Fried Chicken(Medium Tray) 2) Mechado(small tray) 3) Dinuguan(small tray) 4) Pancit Miki Bihon(mix of large and small noodles)(small tray). ALL were a big hit! Everyone loved the food! All the dishes were amazing. One of our guests brought Kare Kare with a great mix of oxtail and baby bok choy, Tri-Tip and I made a simple salad with a vinaigrette for dressing and that was our main spread. We love the portion and quality of food from Sac Villa, and highly recommend it to anyone who loves Filipino Chinese food!

Simple decor but full of life. We ordered lumpia, a couple of pot stickers, pinakbet, chopsuey, and lemon chickens. Everything was tasty.Staff was quick and attentive. Enjoyed our night. Got it just before it filled up. Timing was perfect

We ordered take out from this restaurant. The gentleman who took our order was very nice and helpful. We were ordering for a party of 10. We ordered several items but our favorites were the Veggie Pancit and chicken, pork, beef pancit. He helped us order other items but looking at menu now, I am unable to recall the specific names. Definitely worth visiting again.

Could use more seasoning. Dinuguan had a mostly vinegar taste and lacked in the savory component. Other seasonings seem to be drowned out by the vinegar or are lacking.

Good food! I love it! And the portions are big. A honey fried chicken order is a lot. We enjoyed it?

One restaurant where I can get all my favorite Chinese AND Filipino dishes?!? Heck yeah, thazzz what I'm talkin' bout! South Villa Restaurant is the real deal. They serve up very flavorful, home-cooked-like options. Today I was given the opportunity to enjoy a yummy luncheon with my family to celebrate August birthdays. Everything I ate was sooooo tasty from Pancit, Bulalo (beef broth soup), honey walnut prawns, sautéed vegetables, crispy sweet n' sour beef, Kare-Kare and more. There wasn't a dish I didn't like, yep it was that good. Service was great, this family owned restaurant feels very "home-y", such cozy ambiance. Our server Kevin was super attentive and provided great service. His family owns the restaurant and you can taste the the love in all the food they offer. Heads up, they offer catering so keep them in mind for future family parties! I'm excited for my next visit here!

A local favorite serving the Filipino community and beyond. Food is delicious and authentic at reasonable prices. Like many eateries Covid took its toll on these small mom and pop type establishments and in house dining has yet to be reestablished. Another factor is lack of staff and the increase in wages making it difficult to remain viable. The food is still great and we can only hope things will turn around for this popular restaurant.

I was in a crunch and and needed to order lumpia for a wedding. The lumpia was superb. The place was clean. The staff was nice. Will go again for a sit down meal. Here is a pic of what’s left over. I order 200 pcs. Sorry I meant to take a pic and it came with sauce ? ?

Used to come here regularly for Filipino food, and it was about as good as you can get in Sacramento. It's gone downhill. On our recent visit, bistec was too sweet, and not that tender. Green beans with bagaong was also excessively sweet. Pancit palabok was underseasoned, and didn't seem to have the tinapa and chicharones that usually adds so much to this dish.
