I reserved a room for a get-a-way for our 50th wedding anniversary. I knew parking would be problematic but thought we could check-in and have dinner without moving the car. Unknown to me, the restaurant closed permanently years ago. With no on-site restaurant and no on-site parking, I should have stayed at the Best Western down the street. However, the room was large and clean but the front desk help was not friendly.
Nice enough place. Staff were friendly, our last day we asked for and got a late check out; however we had one of the cleaning people knock on our door before the 11 am check out time and then the front desk girl unlocked the room and walked in without knocking before our 12:30 check out time.

We enjoy historic properties, however, this hotel is poorly run and we had unacceptable issues with our room. We were informed of the 3 PM check in time. We arrived 10 minutes early and stood on the front porch with 2 other couples until staff arrived 15 minutes later. No greetings, they just unlocked the door and told us to sit down in the coffee area. After sitting around for several minutes we walked up to the check in counter and asked to check in.
