Was trying to pick up zhangliang malatang hot pot right behind this place but they were closed. At malatang you can build your own hot pot and add whatever you like. And they have a condiment and sauces area where you can create your own sauces! I was so disappointed and still craving hot pot so decided to come here since it is so close. Last time i was here was years ago and it was ok. So when we walked up there was only two parties inside so i was a bit worried about the turn over of the food but was hungry so ordered anyways. We ordered a basic beef hot pot and kimchi dumpling hot pot. When we brought them home and opened them up my kids already started to poke at their beef and i went to eat the kimchi one. The kimchi was blahh. The broth really tasted like they used a powder packet from a Korean instant ramen but watered and no spice. It was kind of strange. The ingredients looked like standard basic ingredients that were interchangeable but even after putting the broth in it didn't change the flavor. It was just really sad quality. If that wasn't disappointing enough, when i went to check out the beef hot pot my kids were eating, they were telling me they didn't like it at all and they love hot pot. When i went to look at it more closely, it totally looks like customers may have left their soup and they put other customers leftovers in the to go bowl and then top it with a little bit of newish toppings!!! I looked at it and tried a bite from my kids bowl and had to spit it out. It was just so lukewarm and tasted so off like it had been sitting there and all the ingredients were all mushy and mixed up! It was grisly and grimy and just all wrong. I was so disgusted i threw them both away and tried to call the restaurant but no one picks up. Lesson learned. See pics.

I love getting my own personal hot pot! This place is perfect for a cold day or anytime I'm craving soup. The staff is pretty attentive, you are seated right away and they are always circling around to refill my soup . I usually get the mild lamb hot soup, one time I tried spicier and I couldn't take the heat. Once seated, I usually start making my own sauce , I suggest mixing all three options on the table. It's the perfect mix of savory, salt, and sweet. Once your food arrives, I always find the hot pot base so beautiful. The vegetables are always fresh and the portion is plenty for one person. I frequent this place often and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This was my first time there I came with my friend I ordered the Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup medium spicy. It was delicious. I also ordered the rose Matcha iced latte with boba . Everything I have was scrumptious. I will definitely go back. The staff were super friendly and nice.

Customer service was very nice and accommodating at first but then they can get a little short temper or unfriendly with you. Food was okay. Portions were nice. The issue is that we ordered Taro Milk Tea with boba to go in the beginning. After paying, we were sitting at our table still for like 5 minutes, thinking they knew or remembered about our boba drink but they didn't. Then they questioned us and said there's no boba left. I showed them the receipt and I paid for boba. So not everyone was on the same page and they were being kinda snappy with us when we're literally waiting for our paid drink even when one of them thought "I thought you wanted it for go to" LIKE YES TO GO- we ate, paid, and waited. They also spoke to us in their language and we didn't understand so idk if it was rude/offensive or not in terms of what she said and how she said it. We already paid for boba but had to sub it with lychee jelly instead. The taro milk tea was mid. Not sweet and didn't taste like anything. Prob won't come here unless someone in my fam or friend group really wants to.

This Taiwanese style hot pot place gives you a menu of different bowls and serves them under a sterno heater. Make sure that you use the little lever to regulate the heat of your soup.On the day that we were there gor lunch, sitting at another table, were women that most likely work at a local massage parlor. Nice eye candy.Dietary restrictions: This may be a good choice if you are diabetic.

I love me a good hot pot and it's always on point here. The broth is always rich and flavorful and the quality in the ingredients is sooo much better than a lot of the acye places I've been too. But don't worry because all of the hot pots come with plenty food you will definitely still be leaving with a full belly. This is a small and cozy little restaurant and the service was great. And of courses the sauces and spices for dipping are the best!

Go there for lunch and wE choose Beef ones. And wE choose mild spicy, the broth I think have Schezuan flavor, ok with me but for My MIL still spicy. ITS anew experience. We like it maybe go back for another stule BTW the Taro boba too watery and not cold even they put ice cube maybe better with shaving ice?

I had a craving for the kimchi dumpling soup, but the location I usually go to was overpacked. I came here thinking all tasty pot locations were the same, but I was wrong ! This location is located on 65th and Stockton blvd . The area isn't that great and that could be why this place was empty when we pulled in . This location seemed dirty and the employees are hard to communicate with , since they don't speak English very well . The soup we got tasted really fishy and the meats tasted old . Overall , I don't think I'd recommend or return .

Love this place. Been going here since 2015, I've seen the changes in service(for the better) unlimited tea refill now, prior to this, once you finish your tea, the server filled it with water only. Today was training day for a new server and he was quick to refill our drinks and soup. He was very attentive. We ordered a number 9, the tawainese soup, medium spicy and added extra tendon, everything was delicious! This is place very consistent on taste and I always leave warm and full.

This time we came in for quick grab and go Instead of stopping by to eat hot pot. We came in for boba, we ordered 4 bobas. It's not what it used to be. Friendly service for the little shop. The ambiance is very nice intimate setting. Quiet. The last few time I came for hot pot they are good. Can't speak for the hot pot this time around. The bobas is a little chewy then expect, the taro is little watered down. We also had Matcha green tea, it's bold in flavor, but little on the sweet side. The panda flavor is sweet, sweeter than expected.

Added photo from Tasty Pot EG location to prove that the size of pot is bigger there and not at the South Sac location.

The food was great but I notice that they did charged us extra. The #9 already comes with instant noodle & a side of rice or vermicelli. I got 2 orders of the #9. We wanted another instant noodle instead of rice. So we got charged $7 for 2 extra noodles & $1.25 each for the exchange noodles. I don't understand why they charged us $7 like we ordered extra noodles on the side. When all they did is switch out the rice for noodles which should be $1.25 only for the exchange, since one noodles already comes with it. If Next time I'll just order the #9 with rice & one of the instant noodle already comes with it. Also we only came in 3 people but there was a gratuity charged without us knowing until we asked for the receipt that listed what we order.

It's good for single Hot Pot, price is reasonable. Server was great. Need more spice condiment.

I had my first Tasty Pot back when they first opened in Newark and then they gradually expanded all over the Bay Area. Throughout the years of eating Tasty Pot at different locations, my experience always fell short; portions declined heavily and it was never as good as the first time I had it.I came here yesterday with a mindset of having mediocre lunch with the family but was surprised how much meat there was in my individual pot. Took a bite with a spoonful of broth and realized how flavorful it was -- I started to remember my first time dining experience and it made me really happy that my food turned out to be bomb! Customer service is great and very attentive; our waiter came back to refill our tea quite often and offered broth refill. I cannot be more pleased! This location puts every Tasty Pot in the Bay Area to shame and they should take notes. Good job Sacramento location, you're a real one!
