Amazing good food and the best service in Sacramento!!! The staff is so attentive and the quality of food is second to none. Great wine list too. Taylor's Kitchen stands is a gem that shouldn't be missed!!

How did we not know about this gem?!!!! My son went to the Market with a friend and suggested we try the Kitchen. Not knowing what to expect, we casually walked in on a Wednesday evening without a reservation (suggestion: definitely make a reservation) and I immediately thought I was in a cute little restaurant/wine bar in Napa. Luckily we were able to get seated at the bar. Perusing the menu, we could barely get past the appetizers. We wanted to order everything! We decided on the Oysters on the Half Shell, the Padron Peppers, and the Green Tomatoes. My son and I shared an entree because we wanted to taste all the appetizers, plus save room for dessert. For our entree, we got a nice-sized ribeye, cooked to perfection, with these amazing Hen of the Wood mushrooms. And to top off our dining experience, we got the Chocolate Lava Cake. My son and I love to try new restaurants and we enjoy fine dining and it's been quite some time since we have been THIS impressed by a restaurant- everything that they had to offer us, from the ambiance, the food, the hospitality, the knowledge of the food, and the conversation, it turned out to be a very memorable dining experience. Thanks for squeezing us in that night. We will be back! I wish I could've added pictures here; we put them on our IG story. And I should add that we received lots of positive comments and ooohs and ahhhs from our friends!

We haven't been here in over 2 years and it's only improved. Every dish was perfect, the staff was wonderful and the wine selection just right. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had our first experience at Taylor's Kitchen this weekend. Amazing! Great job all around! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff was professional and on point. The food was fresh and delicious. The flavors of each dish were very well coordinated with their accompanying sides and sauces:Smoked Trout Deviled Eggs - Flavor wow! We both looked at each other the second we took a taste and both literally said "wow". We love deviled eggs and more often then not find this simple dish subpar at most restaurants. Taylor's are amazing and we will order again.Mussels on the Half Shell (special) - Very fresh, not too chilled, and great dipping sauces.Gnocchi - Creamy warm in a wonderfully tasty onion soubise. We will order this again. This was another "wow" moment.Ahi Tuna Crudo - The temperature, form, and flavors were spot-on. The accompanying plantain chips (for which I am usually not a big fan) were perfectly crispy with a touch of flavor that worked very well with this tuna dish.Pan Roasted Mary's Half Chicken - The salad was yummy and fresh with a great vinaigrette dressing. The peaches were crispy and sweet (are peaches in season here in Sac?). Finally, the chicken was perfect. The flesh was juicy throughout and the seasonings permeated the complete bite so not to have that flavorless "middle" of the breast. Moreover, the seasoning enhanced the chicken flavor without overwhelming it. Again, roasted chicken is a simple dish I really enjoy and I often find it subpar at many restaurants.Good job Taylor's! We will be back and will bring our friends!

We tried almost everything on the menu and can't wait to go back and try what we didn't get to already. Pork belly and fried green tomatoes- amazing. Ceviche with peaches?! Incredible. Duck confit out of this world. Incredibly inventive menu. Can't wait to go back

Great food, great service. Made a reservation for 8pm and they were able to take my family of 4 in at 7:30pm. We started off with the asparagus and bruschetta starters. Delicious flavors. Lager on draft was refreshing. For entrees, we ordered the 28-day aged steak, the wild mushroom tortellini, the pork chops, and the chicken on arugula salad. *chefs kiss* Finally for dessert, we had the tres leches cake and the cherry almond crepe-like pie. Our server was attentive and very kind. He gave my family a free round of sweet white wine for dessert bc it was my dad's birthday. Missing star because it was super smoky and hot inside the restaurant. Very uncomfortable setting. Outside seating was not offered, no A/C detected to be on inside and not a cracked door/window anywhere in sight.

Delicious food and flexible wait-staff & chefs! We live very close by and have heard amazing things about Taylor's market and kitchen. I was initially put off by the limited menu options, around ~5 or so main course items and a lot of them chicken + mushroom (which I can't eat), so I went with the ribeye. The waiter + chef were open to swapping out the mushrooms for asparagus, which I greatly appreciated. They also have Pliny the Elder - a huge plus for us! It's a pretty intimate space indoors with tables fairly close to one another and when the couple next to us sat down and were coughing a bunch - our waiter gladly moved us to the patio. Both of our meals were spectacular! I've never had a better ribeye and the molten cake dessert was a perfect treat. I'd highly recommend!

Staffing, services, food, and vibe is superb. The dry aged NY was so good with their spread on top. Would definitely come back.

I love the food here but recent experiences leave much to be desired. I called on a Monday about a reservation for that Saturday and they notified me they don't take reservations and welcome walk-ins. So when I arrived I was surprised to find out the restaurant was rented out for a private event. I had a dinner planned for my family and my in-laws and we had to scramble to find another restaurant that would seat us in a timely manner. Why the person answering the phone neglected to inform me the restaurant is rented out for the night is beyond me but I would definitely call ahead to make sure they're actually open before you go.

My first time here was June 16th for dinner. Inside looks great, and the tables are nicely spaced apart. Awesome food and service! We got the bruschetta and steak tartar (this came w the best fries!). Two in our party had the NY steak, and two got the burger. All was really good. The complimentary homemade chips was an unexpected bonus.

Outstanding steak! The strawberry chiffon cake is very, very good. We sat outside and didn't feel neglected even though we had a large party of about 20 people. The salad was perfect as well.
