It is definitely more expensive then it should be, but the food isn't bad quality and the service is amazing! I have never had a bad experience with a waiter here, and the radio music isn't half bad. Typically there is cut fruit, some dairy (yogurt, cottage cheese, etc), and some breakfast items (I have only been there during breakfast).

Food was great (veggies were cooked but still firm and tasty, salmon was nummy - could have been cooked less but I'm a snob, pilaf was great), not too spendy, wait staff was not only patient with my allergy questions, they were very attentive without hovering. The bar is very typical of a hotel bar, open to the lobby and elevator areas, but even with a game on, still pretty chill. And there's a POPCORN MACHINE!

Can't say much about their regular menu but we had the thanksgiving menu and that food was cold no flavor and dry. The cook should know better than to serve that food like that, if he or she is a cook.

A bit pricey for the food quality but it’s a hotel. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and the breakfast buffet was neat and

Buffet Only: there is no menu and you cannot order -- the eggs had raw'ish cut tomatoes mixed in which might have been ok, and the oatmeal wouldn't have passed grandma's opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm filled and happy. And at $8.99 a dozen, I might have actually eaten $25 in eggs. The waitresses were awesome: I think they both had helped me and probably their tips aren't shared so I'm sorry I didn't pick one and stay to just them -- it's a buffet and confusing.

I had breakfast here yesterday morning. Stephanie was SO friendly and accommodating for my picking eating. I have stayed at this hotel for probably 12 or 13 years but had never eaten in the restaurant. I will definitely be going back!!

The food at the breakfast buffet was standard fare for the 3 days I was there. I got breakfast for free with my hotel status. I was shocked to see the price of the buffet was twenty bucks, without voucher. Definitely not worth that. I will have to say that the wait staff were all some of the friendliest and efficient I have come across in quite a while. Tip your wait staff everyone, especially if you are getting breakfast for free :)!

Sacramento Holiday Inn. Eating breakfast at The Cyprus Grille. Just a tiny buffet but the quality of even something as basic as Scrambled Eggs or bacon! Believe this New York Restaurant School alumna- the taste is out of this world. And the Buffet opens at 6 a.m. on Weekdays so for all of us early birds it's very convenient indeed!

First, understand there may only be two restaurants in downtown Sacramento that are open at 630 or 7am with menus that list actual eggs, i.e, omelettes vs frittata and the sort. Cypress was one. I won’t belabor this, but I was seated by loud clientele making family and friend calls on speaker phone. When the waitress came, I ordered an omelette and coffee. The coffee was light brown water. I asked for something “stronger” and the waitress brought something a little darker but it wasn’t coffee unless it was used grinds with lemon peel. Horrible. I promptly tipped the waitress (who was actually good/friendly), then I left fearing the food may be equally appetizing.

At 6:00 pm we went down from our room to have dinner & they weren't open. No signs saying they weren't open. The door was even unlocked. Info on the web says their hours are from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm

A little thuggish out front but if you show up at the right time you can find pretty much a deal on anything!! ?

The folks here were so kind and sweet to our family. It was like having breakfast over at auntie's the way they helped the kiddos. Also, the eggs were cooked but not dry, which is my usual measure.
