The negative is purely based on previous experience at this same place. This used to be much more entertaining. Shrimp toss, onion volcano, saki shot from squirt bottle, egg and spatula tricks. None of that exists here now and it's a shame they don't value that entertainment factor anymore. Food is still tasty except the sashimi. Service is friendly and responsive and really doesn't deserve less than 4 stars...just bring back the entertainment and I'd gladly bring my family back.

It's always fun to watch the chef cook. But I think this place is a bit overpriced with the quality of the food. Staffs are in general very friendly. By seeing their ingredient, which is lard instead of butter and use too many soy sauce / pepper, I'm worried about the health level of the dishes. Eventually I had to ask the staff to put less sauce on my food and he was willing to do it. We paid extra tips for the chef's hard work. But I guess for tepenyakki places like this there might be better choices elsewhere?

We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had a large crowd. I would not recommend coming with a large party. Tokyo service is much better with smaller parties like 4 or less. Our cook was amazing. Our waitress seemed a bit irritated from the start.

Closes at 10:30 came at 8:00 said they closed habachi side down after I called and they said come at that practicular time on a Saturday this has happen twice horrible service. Very unreasonable to say everything is booked up 2 and half hours before close if there’s no reservations. Only seen two chefs working. I had a came way earlier last time for the same answer makes no sense.

Had a teppanyaki meal on the side of the restaurant without hibachi show. Food was bland, no vegetables with meal (uncommon for teppanyaki), bacon fried rice (instead of white rice) was a $7 up-charge (ridiculously over-priced), service was very slow, even though the place was empty. I was really disappointed in tonight’s dinner.

Tokyo steakhouse has great food, been eating here for years. While hiking in yosemite today I developed a strong craving for their filet and fried rice dinner. Prior to navigating (4 hr drive) to Tokyo steakhouse I confirmed their hours online, and that they would be open when I arrived. When I got to Tokyo steakhouse I was surprised to find they were closed…. A piece of paper hanging in the door stating “closed 2/11/24”…. No explanation, no adjustment of their hours online, and no excuses to be closed during your stated hours. Very disappointed and would warn others to double check they are actually open before committing to eat at Tokyo steakhouse.
Everything about this place is very very delicious no complaints whatsoever about Tokyo I will most definitely recommend Tokyo Steak House to anyone an everyone because it’s just like that.?????

Food was alright. The bar was probably the best. Paid $9 for a shot that equivalent of 2 -3.
