The food is good but Everything be over pepperd. You can barely enjoy what you're eating. I have tried to make verbal complaints. Mac and cheese peppered. All the meats over pepper ... the meats are black because of so much pepper.. The ribs over peppered. Backed chicken over peppered... even the dressing was spicy . The only thing that I can truly say that I've ate that is cooked to perfection are the greens, so just feedback you're cooking for everyone. Everyone cannot have extreme hot pepper. And if that's what you're food is all about. And you should say that on the menu because it's extremely. Over peppered. I hate to leave this because it's not to many soul food places in Sacramento... Hopefully you take this as feedback and not credicism. Because you're food really could be amazing if it was an over peppered.

My experience was A1, greeted by the kind lady that took my order. Gave me an amazing sample of their gumbo while I waited( amazing spice flavoring). I ordered the catfish and prawns and it did not disappoint but the star of the show was the Mac n cheese and corn bread. Insane. Good vibes all around and was not a long wait. Definitely coming back and exploring their menu further.

I don't have a review yet but I will say soon as I walked in just to look at the menu they were very welcoming and I did not leave without a sample of their gumbo and I will say they're gumbo was awesome. I'm going back soon with an order for me and my friends it looks like the smothered pork chops are high on the menu for must-haves.

I attended Tori's service, which I found to be satisfactory; however, I experienced a delay of 20-25 minutes in receiving my order. The cornbread pancake was acceptable, but I was dissatisfied with the fried chicken. Additionally, the Mac and Cheese had an unusual seasoning or flavor that I couldn't identify. Despite this, I appreciate the overall experience and may consider revisiting in about a year to explore other menu options.

If you're looking for Authentic southern cuisine, This is it. I can't stress enough that Veronica and Tori make you feel like the family you've never had and always wanted. All the food here has a sequel recipe and i'm pretty sure it's love! True authentic gumbo, Buttered hot water corn bread, And collard greens. Real food doesn't get much better than this! Thank you ladies for making my stomach happy and my day even happier!Went back today for smothered porkchops.... Tori doesn't miss! This food warms the coldest hearts and makes you fell all warm and fuzzy!

Tory’s place is Sacramento’s best kept secret. Their fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy and well cooked on the inside. Their gumbo is unbelievable along with her corn cake. You will always find a line even when you call. Their Arnold Palmer drink is plentiful and delicious. Did I mention their sides like greens, Mac cheese, or yam? Tasty. Go and enjoy

The food It's not good everything Has jalapenos in? It spent $50 on something. I couldn't even I even eat who puts jalapenos in meatloaf. When I call back. I was told since I ordered from Torres.That's the way Tory likes it. Not the way the customer likes it.I'll recommend you not eat at this place.Every Everything about it not good will served hardcore bread to Was not even all for the refund Am I wife fish was dry.
