I really don't recommend the place... I don't know where in Mexican food they make enchiladas with roast beef, other than dried meat and a thousand salt and pepper (and it was the children's menu) my daughter couldn't eat it!! It looked like a shoe sole… And expensive by the way….We ordered a Molcajete and they only gave us 4 tortillas… the tortilla chips were from a Costco bag!! It doesn't matter that they are from there... but for the price you expect it to be homemade... The service is terrible... they are not aware of what you need... they stay talking and don't attend to you... and the place is very dirty... It's not worth it For what the food is worth… I do not recommend it!!

My husband and I had any early dinner yesterday here. We haven't been here for a good while, but have enjoyed it in the past. We had noticed a newish menu with increased prices. My husband decided on the caldo de siete mares for $22.99. All was good until the caldo arrived. My husband was surprised when his siete mares (seafood soup) arrived and it looked like caldo de res. It had zucchini in it. I noticed there looked like lettuce or cabbage under his bowl. The shrimp he had to peel as he ate it. He begrudgingly ate it, but it wasnt what he has eaten in the past at other establishments and at home. What it appeared to be was caldo de res with the beef removed and mediocre seafood added.... for $22.99. My husband did mention to the server that he has never seen zucchini in caldo de siete mares, and she seemed surprised. She left our bill and removed our plates. When we went to the counter to pay, the server seemed to be sharing my husband's comments about his substandard caldo. We won't be returning.

The wait time, and the service from the waitress / servers was a little more on the slow side than at other places. Even took them forever to bring us the chips and salsa on our wait while others who came in after had no problem with that. Crowded seating areas and it was so cold in there. The food is good but make sure you ASK what's in it and how they make it because some items have different spice levels etc. Best thing was the music playing in the background.

I used to like to go there for a molcajete and aguachiles, now food is bland, they change their menu, and the portion of the molcajete is half the size of what they used to have, I don't recommend this place anymore

Great place to eat. The food is above a average, but the Original Casa del Sazón (across from the Quadrangle) has better flavor (must be the extra love and attention the cook gives to the food). The service here is awesome as well as the ambient. I highly recommend the Molcahete (not sure if I spelled it correctly). Great place for large groups, too.

Whats going on with this place???? Owners??? pay attention to your place from been one of the Best places around its becoming one of the worse I order a Chicken milanesa plate and the chicken was RAW!!!!! to make this worse they actually cut my milanesa in pieces never seen this before in any Restaurant but who ever cut it in pieces didnt care that the chicken was raw and my order was place in the container to go. most restaurants that are having problems like this as you can see in yelp they usually have a person in charge (manager or owner) check orders before they leave the Kitchen this will not change unless you care and if you dont you can see the results!!!

1st time being there,it’s very hard to find good Mexican food but I was pleasantly impressed with the food and service and we’ll be going back again for some good homemade food. Thank you!

I'm really disappointed with the food here. We ordered a Molcajete and to be honest it looked very skimpy. When I continued to dig through it I noticed it was on foil paper but the foil paper didn't go all the way into the Molcajete. It was just on the surface and the meat was skimpy. They added a little bit of chorizo and that was also skimpy. I paid $36 and I feel like I did not get my moneys worth. I heard they were famous for their Molcajete but honestly I would not return here. I was not impressed. Our waiter was attentive and nice. I mentioned to him that it looked a little skimpy and so he went back to talk to the cook. When he came back out he said that that's the portion that they always serve. Normally a Molcajete could serve up to 2 to 3 individuals but this was barely just for one person. Is it just me or is it that restaurants are getting more expensive and skimpier??!!

This place is amazing, today is my fourth time coming here and definitely not the last one. The food is delicious they have full bar, the service is excellent, very professional.Located very close from downtown, restrooms need a little attention but everything else is great

Decent. I have fond memories of Casa del Sazon. I think by offering so many menu options their food went from very good to mediocre. We went as a group. The quesabiŕria looked good but the dip (conzume) had about a 1/4 inch of grease/oil. The tostada de Camaron (shrimp) was bland and the shrimp were overcooked yet cold. I had the gordita plate. The pastor came in clumps within the gordita shell and half of the gordita (at the end) was just beans. The dry birria plate was light on actual birria.I think this place owes a lot of their reviews to the molcajete dish that looks awesome. The other dishes not special at all.

The slowest service in Salinas! Waited over an hour to be served! Also, ordered the carne asada plate and they give you much more carne at their other location. I will never go there again!

Apperantly they only put in effort when they feel like it. I was very unsatisfied the last time I was here . The aguachiles they made were horrible, and to top it off they forgot to put cucumbers and when called back they only said they can remake one or get ten dollars back from what I payed which was 45 dollars for two crappy a** aguachiles. Most definitely I do not recommend unless you want to throw your money away . Just giving one star because I can't rate less.

I ordered two aguachiles with everything to go I expected them to be like the one they advertised with orange, avocado, purple onions and cucumbers. What I got on my plate was only a small amount of shrimp and WHITE onions with GREEN oranges . I called them to see if they can redo my order and they told me they could only redo 1 of my orders or the alternative was get a 10$ refund which wasn't close to what I paid. Never coming here again!

This is my all time favorite in Salinas, Mexican food or otherwise, you cannot find a more delicious menu served by a friendlier group of people.
