Mac City Macarons had a booth at Palenke Arts. The macarons were so colorful we all wanted to buy some. But once we bit into them we realized they sold us a half a dozen STALE macarons for $17+tax! The consistency of these cookies are far cry from the light crispness of meringue you would expect in a macaron. These were dense, sugary and chalky from too much almond flour.

I’ve had many experiences with Mac City- from the farmer’s market, night market, store front, etc. (all 5 stars), but yesterday was extra special. For my baby shower, my mom surprised me with my favorite macarons. She told me they even customized the macs to match the theme of the shower. I heard many guests asking about where they were from and commenting on how delicious they were! One of my friends said they'd be taking a special trip back to town just to get some for an upcoming event. My sister-in-law swiped about 4 of the cookies and cream flavor when no one was looking because they are literally that good. I saw others going back up to try multiple flavors too. It was one of the highlights of my day to have my faves for dessert! Hands down, best macarons in the area.

Thank you, Mac City! I have a foodie daughter who always enjoys very different things for her birthday. She loves Macarons and this new store provided the perfect way to surprise her. Love the fact that they have standard flavors and monthly flavors that allows to indulge your palate. Bought two dozen in most of the flavors they had and was able to play "Guess that Flavor" at the party. Not overly sweet , great texture and flavors, awesome customer service and a beautiful, clean, finely detailed decorated store. Wonderful family run business with the hope that they are hold a place in our business community for a good, long time. I wish I could give them 10 stars. My husband and I absolutely LOVE macarons. We used to grab these from our local farmers market but now we will happily drive 35 minutes to get them at their storefront. The most amazing macs I've had. Every flavor is delicious and always fresh. Soooo worth it.

These are easily the best macarons I've ever had! The cookie is flaky on top with air space beneath. The filling is delicious and perfectly complements the cookie. Together, it all deliciously melts in your mouth. I thought I didn't like macarons, I just grudgingly try one when my friend gets them. But this place changed my mind. Fantastic!

The only macarons I've tried that aren't overly sweet! In the past, every time I'd tried macarons from any other place, I didn't really care for them because they were way too sweet, but I really liked them from Mac City Macarons. You can also find their booth at the Saturday Downtown Salinas Farmer's Market.
