My mother ordered a sandwich at this location.. she ordered the daily special. When my mother realized it was the chicken teriyaki she asked employee to remove the sweet chicken and just leave the veggies. Employee said she could not do that. Why couldn't she do it?!!! My mother is diabetic and she requested sweet chicken to be removed for a reason...This is unacceptable and poor customer service. This employee has no common sense or customer service respect. Customer service should always be a priority!!!!! PERIOD!!! Employees need to always remember they have a job because of us clients. It is unacceptable to mistreat an elderly or any client period. Employees need to patiently explain the situation before giving the client no choice but to pay for their meal because it was prepared already. My mother paid for the meal and left the place with out her meal. Customers should never be forced to purchase a meal they can not eat.

I was waiting on line today at 7:34 and at 7:37 the worker told me they couldn't help me no more that the customer he is helping at the moment will be he's last . He said they close at 7:40 . They always close at 8 . And i was waiting in line to get one sandwich . Worst experience ever . And I use to work at a subway before . Even if a customer came in one minute before we closed we had to help them.

Google says they are open until 8pm. I walked up at 7:30pm today, (Tuesday March 30, 2021 for the people who should be looking at the schedule for this store so you can properly find and reprimand the associate to whom I was dealing with) and the lady behind the counter told me they were only serving drinks and that the food part was closed. She even had all the food put away already. The open sign was still lit. I asked her what time do they close and she told me that they close at 8pm, BUT she had to have 30 minutes to clean up. At that point I had to just walk away. I went to another location and they were kind enough to listen to my complaint and inform me that they are not supposed to be closing everything down like that and it only takes 15 minutes to put everything away. I sincerely hope that this is properly investigated and that the appropriate action(s) are taken. I worked in retail for 12 years and we never got to close anything down that early... sometimes not even for power outages!

Came here today stood there for 20 minutes with no help. Worst Subway ever no wonder no one comes here. Now I get to go to work with no lunch. Absolute bs worst customer service because they don't even know when a customera customer is there.

If you order something, make sure that you are talking with your outside voice, because they can't hear anything. Ordered a BFH, Egg, & Cheese footlong, but given a BFH & Cheese footlong instead. The guy said that he could barely hear me (even though I repeated myself) & fix it, but I didn't have the time or patience for them to “fix” my original order, so I tossed it on the counter and left. 2nd time I've had a bad experience there, but what do you expect when it's a different group of kids working there every month?

- I've not been in this store or any other local Subway since my last review in April of this year. - Ever since Monique left this store, and then Mario left... the owner seems content in hiring --The Worst-- employees to be found. They are dull, boring and all have --zero-- personality. - I went in tonight at about 8:40. The place looked about ready to close as chairs were on tables as if it was closing time. I approached the counter and the young male employee took off the hat he was wearing --backwards-- and tossed it onto the counter behind him. He also removed his apron. - - I asked for a large coldcut sandwich on Wheat. The young man got the bread and sliced it. (Not once did he greet me or speak one word) I was being "playful" as I often am, and I asked the young man, "Are you a sandwich artist?" (this per the Subway "theme" of sandwich "artists.") The person mumbled... something. He spoke so softly I could almost not hear him. - I again asked with a smile in my voice "Are you a sandwich "artist." - He again mumbled something. - - Then I asked "Do you ever smile?" He mumbled again. I said again "Do you ever smile?" This time I finally heard and understood his mumbling when he said "Yeah, to my girlfriend." -- - I walked out. This kid couldn't be more ignorant, nor could he be more poorly trained when it comes to working with the public. - Neither myself nor members of my family will ever visit this Subway or any other in Salinas, as the owner of this store operates other locations. - - A person can get a sandwich and anything else to eat in Salinas. -- The --only-- thing this store and any other business has to offer... is courteous, attentive service.

Walked in had to ring the bell as nobody was at the counter. When the girl came out it looked like I interrupt her, she looked at me raised her eyebrows, like what do you want. She threw my wrap together and off I go. I don't normally eat subway but was in a pinch. Customer service minus one star the wrap wasn't bad.
