Went in on Monday at exactly 8pm since the website and Google state it closes at 9pm. Doors were locked with employees inside. I called and asked their hours, lady said they were closed and hung up in the middle of me talking. We drove an hour from San Jose. Super disappointing.

I went on Sunday to order a beef burrito with cheese and onions. When I got home and took a bite the ground beef looked raw. I opened the burrito and sure enough the meat was raw. I returned to show them and they gave me some excuse on how the meat is cooked. All they did was give me a bean burrito with rice which also was horrible. No apology and no refund. Tico Tacos has really gone downhill. I will not be returning. Do better and make sure the meat is cooked.

Ticos is a Fast Casual spot with pretty good Mexican food. The menu is huge, the food comes out fast and hot and they include breakfast. They have ground beef in addition to the other kind of beef, if you prefer it and a few vegetarian options like Chile Relleno and Veggie Burritos. They feature nachos for a fun night of football watching. Their portions are enough for two meals, at least. Their extensive a la carte menu means you don't have to waste any food. They have add-ons, including a high-quality sour cream, ie; not watered down like at other spots. Large list of beverages, including milk and flavored milk, apple & orange juice rather than the usual soda fountain or iced tea. I've just discovered that you can buy the Taco Salad Shells alone so you can fill it with your own salad! Cool to know. Or how about taking some Mole sauce home and using your own meat for it? What more can you ask for when you're in a hurry and need a "real" meal? They are a solid three stars. But when you are an unpretentious, affordable spot, it's just what busy families need to get a quick meal on the table, so three stars hits the spot. Drawbacks: Uses too much cheese even if you ask not to (lol), Chips are a paid item only, Salsa is not to my personal taste. Friendly service, food is super hot, comes out fast, affordable, big portions, something for everyone. Family-owned.

We love Ticos Tacos. My favorites are the chile relleno, crispy tacos and enchiladas. It reminds me of me of the old Mexican restaurant that used to be in Alvin Square called Cozumel.

1st time here, usually go for tacos, but noticed they were $4.75/each. While burritos are $6.50 for #1 (cheaper meats) and $7.50 for #2 (more expensive meat). Couldn't make up my mind so I just got a #1 Mexican burrito with chicken. Menu states it includes rice, beans & protein. Makes sense.-got home and unwrapped it to add some cheese I had in the fridge, and saw that it was just no more than 1.5oz of shredded chicken, a few chunks of cooked onion, and plain, unseasoned white rice. No beans, almost no chicken. Mainly just white rice in a tortilla. Explains the price difference. I should've gone a few doors up to Taco Bell for more *authentic* Mexican cuisine. Sad.

Love this place for take out Mexican. Their chile verde is a favorite of mine. I have been coming here for years and tried many items, never a bad experience. The prices are a bit elevated but no complaining if you want good food. Service is an average, not the warmest. Overall worth it.

Been coming here since I was a kid... I love this place... they serve the best cheese enchiladas (the red sauce is really yummy!)

I go for the beans in a tostada shell and chips and salsa. Best in town! The cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Chili verde. The salsa bar is always stocked. This place is kept clean. If the parking lot is full don't let that scare you. Service is fast and the wait is minimal. The food is excellent and the prices are fair. About $15-20 a person.

Great food. I've been eating here since I was four. Moved away and a decade+ later came back and it tasted just like I remembered.

Just not what it use to be, while some items remain the same in taste unfortunately portion and pricing do not. Money grab style menu..just ridiculous. No longer a go to just a here n there. Hit or miss on the food..inconsistent
