Everything about this place is great! I have gone to this restaurant my entire life and ever single time it hasn’t disappointed. The house omelette is one of my favorites. Also their waffles are amazing as well. The staff have been great every time. Sometimes it’s a little packed but worth the wait as long as it isn’t to packed. Would highly recommend to anyone

First time going to this place. The staff is very friendly and provided a good homey atmosphere to dine in. Food was great! Favorite dish was the Special Omelette and the biscuits n' Gravy ?. Will return if I am in the area again!

This is an aptly named restaurant with a diner vibe. Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner are served and one can have waffles at each meal!! The variety is good - I had buckwheat - and they can be prepared sweet or savory.I prefer savory -- just the eggs and sausages or bacon. I'm sure you could dress yours up like a baked potato, if you ask! Ya know... with chili & cheese or beans. Yum. I want a waffle now. There's always a ton of options for those with a sweet tooth, but enjoy the waffle. The flavor is good without the pile of sugary topping.Coffee is fresh. The diner is older, but very clean & well maintained. Seating is comfortable without scratches, tears, or broken parts. Bathrooms are clean & well stock.Service -- best part of the experience!! Janet is amazing. Ample parking & centrally located. Price is a bit high, but unlimited coffee refills & professional waitress made up for it.Negatives (but notice that I didn't take away any stars!) -- no wifi. That's it. Big deal. Bring friends or family for good conversation or read a book if you want some alone time.

If you're looking for a good breakfast place in Salinas, the Waffle Shop is a safe bet. It's nothing fancy, but the food is usually solid. We ordered a veggie omelette and a pumpkin waffle(Because who doesn't love a pumpkin bakedTreat?) The omelette was a solid size, and packed with veggies. It was easily split by two of us and included biscuits or toast and another side, which we selected as hash browns. The pumpkin waffle was a bit pricey for what it was but it was an up charge item since it was seasonal. It was good, but the pumpkin flavor didn't comeThrough as much as I'd hoped. Taking away 1 star mainly due to service. My husband was served black coffee without any cream and by the time they came back to our table it wasCold. I wanted a water, and they served it in a kid sized cup and they didn't check on us much so it was empty most of our visit.

Came in for breakfast today. Was looking forward to a great meal instead there was hair in my food . Yes another was plate was made but there was no discount for the inconvenience. Let alone the girl was still not wearing hair protection.
Waffle Place in Salinas was great. It reminded me of Golden Waffle which used to be here in Chico.

Despite the friendly staff and service, i can't rate this place higher because the food was a bit lackluster. The eggs were fine. Toast was fresh and soft. But my steak, although it was cooked correctly, was really fatty and not seasoned well. The country potatoes were the most problematic. No flavor. ?? some were crispy, some were undercooked. Very few pieces of onions or bell pepper. My friend had hash browns, french toast, bacon and eggs. He gives the bacon and hash browns a thumbs up.

The cheeseburger and Philly chicken was good. The service was also excellent. The diner was clean and there were plenty of seats.

They don't close at 3!!! I got there at 1:45 and I was denied to dine in because they close at 2. I've been to other places and they still let me dine in if I'm there 15 minutes before they close.
