In an area I was not totally familiar with, I (and my grandson) decided to find an Alberto's Mexican Restaurant for their good, inexpensive food. I googled it and one was listed on Del Rosa just north of Highland Ave in San Bernardino. I drove there and it had, apparently, closed and was no more. But just down the street was Amapola Rico Taco. I decided to try that. We went in and I ordered my favorite Alberto's Burrito, the Carne Asada and my grandson ordered Nachos and a drink. While ordering the Burrito, I was asked "Do you want Beans and Rice?" Thinking this was something that is usually placed in the Burrito, I said yes. I gave the women taking the order my credit card and paid no attention to the price I was being charged (a big mistake). She gave me a receipt which I placed in my pocket and waited for the order to be ready. We started eating and the first thing my grandson said was "this pico de gallo has too much salt." I started to eat my Burrito and found it, too, much too salty. We threw our food out and left, deciding not to complain. Later, i pulled the receipt and was shocked. For one burrito, an order of nachos and a soft drink, we were charged $21.96. This is what they charged me ... Asada Burrito $6.73 ... Add Rice 0.63 ... Add Beans 0.63 ... Nachos 9.38 (yes, over 9 dollars for nachos) ... Shreed 7 & Nacho (what ever that is) 0.70 ... Soda 2.28 ... add tax 1.63 and you get a grand total of $21.96 for something I expected to pay, maybe $16.00. These people are adding extras to the menu with no notice. I will never go again to any Amopola, and suggest that you, too, stay away.
