The owner was so polite and friendly...i ordered near closing time for pick up...and he graciously allowed me to run over a few minutes after closing hours...I've not been experiencing that too often of late..so kuddos to the proprietors for the awesome customer service...pineapple fried rice is soooo good Thank you!

Sometimes they take a while to take your order but the food is always good and the food is quickly prepared. The crispy nuggets with basil are great

I don't even like Chinese food and I loved this place. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Placed and order for their lunch special. It comes with an entree, rice, and a springroll. I chose the Orange Peel Chicken for the entree. For a vegan meal they did a good job. Food was good.

The chef is amazing. Service is great, too. They do not use MSG, I'm told.

Happy Family is one of favorite vegetarian/vegan restaurants in San Bernardino. Before entering the restaurant, signage is on the front door requiring customers to wear a face mask before entering. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by an employee who asked how many were in our party and then quickly sat us at a table. After looking at the menu, we decided to start with appetizers of deep fried wontons with deep fried bread then for our main meal, hubby had soy chicken nuggets with basil and I had mushroom house chicken. We decided to have chow mein and brown rice to accompany meal. All of the food was delicious, well seasoned, and filling. This was a rare occasion for us in that after eating we were so full, we actually left with leftovers. After the meal was done, we received fortune cookies which add a nice to touch to the overall dining experience. I love that the staff were attentive to all customers even when the restaurant became busy with customers coming into the restaurant. The food is decently priced and the staff are receptive to seating requests such as sitting towards the back of the restaurant.

Expensive but good vegan Chinese food. The staff is happy and it translates over to their customers. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant and it's a big hit for many locals in the area. Trust the reviews and order the wontons. I was concerned that it was real chicken when I first took a bite... had to check the Yelp page again to make sure this place was all vegan. I'd definitely order those again, and the thai tea was also really good. The kung pao is one of their most popular dishes (along with the wontons). I definitely recommend the chicken over the beef. I highly suggest to eat the food here hot, otherwise the vegan meat is going to be very chewy and not appetizing. The food is salty and doesn't have much flavor but it works better for the majority.

Been eating at happy family in hacienda heights and this Alhambra location for 15 years. This location moved down the street from old location but food is as great as ever. Only bummer is they're still takeout only.

Happy Family Vegetarian Restaurant is amazing. I went last night for the first time since the Pandemic. The food was great and the service was superb.

I ordered standard options, eggplant with tofu, bean curd with veggie pork and Buddha's feast. It's abundant in their portion, rice choice and egg roll are included. Eggplant is undercooked and the veggie pork is not what I am used to. Besides that flavor is solid, standard Chinese food. Highly recommended.

I can't believe I just found this gem. The food was fresh and delicious, and the flower tea was the best thing ever. I will be a regular customer for sure. Thank you so much for the great customer service and wonderful food!

Gloriously good food. The best vegan Chinese I’ve had. The vegan house special sesame “chicken” (just deep fried mushrooms) are to die for. You literally wouldn’t know it’s not meat if someone didn’t tell you... it tastes just like the sesame chicken I are growing up in NYC. the chow mein is incredible too. I recommend showing up about 5 mins before they say it will be ready because they prep the food SO fast and you should eat while it’s hot!!!
