Hidden Gem ? love the sweet bread and especially the cakes they make, I’ve already bought 3 big cakes, and sometimes I stop by just to buy the slices!

Wow! Never been here before in spite of how close it is to home. I looked up cakes and themes prior to making my selection and decided to give Josies bakery a chance. I walked in in the middle of the day not even realizing how close it was to Saturday for my cake order/birthday surprise for my son who has work Saturday yet they were able to accommodate my order to be ready in time. We were promptly greeted upon arrival, all our questions answered, cake will be baked just as I wanted it, their choices as far as cake and fillings is extensive and will have me back as I would love to try them all! The theme/design I looked up online and wanted for my cake was superseded by the clerk whom I almost want to say is the owner by how great his customer service and people skills are. I walked out amazed altogether and even though their products are delicious (we were offered a cheesecake sample), he made sure we knew they also have other yummy desserts baked in store aside from pan dulce, and tamales. The bakery has been at this location for many yrs and is very well known. 2 exclusively store front spots ensure a parking space for its customers since they share location with a water store and opposite of Buena Market. Picture of my sons cake to follow once picked up tomorrow. Who knew I'd be this excited over a cake!!! I'd give 10 stars if possible
My first time ordering a cake, and I was very excited. As we cut the cake it was very hard and dry ? my guest left most of it. I will not be going back but wish them the best.

Very disappointing. No clear communication. They Ruined my plans. Was told my cake CAN be done by the date i needed. I mentioned great ill be by in the evening that day to pick it up. I get there and they didn't have it. The guy stated i should have been there the day prior to make a deposit, not once in our chat did he mention that. He confirmed my cake would be done. My plans were ruined because of their lack of communication. And he didn't care. This was a big deal for me, it was for a very special day and design carefully thought out and was ruined. Do you think if they would HAVE asked me to make a deposit i wouldn't do it?

Very disappointed ordered tamales for the holidays not only were they $3 each! (Which I would not mind if they were worth it.) They were not. They had the smallest amount of meat possible and all masa. Here's a picture of what you will get for $3. Never again.

Don't let the size fool you to, it fed 40 people at my party and cake was gone! The cake was beautiful and well done. Also super nice workers and will be returning again for sure!

We ordered from them less than a week in advance with some inspiration pictures for a smash cake. They were very responsive and nice. The service was great when we arrived to pick up the cake, the man behind the counter was very personable and helpful. The cake came out so cute! It was exactly what we asked for. We will definitely be going back in the future.

I ordered a cake for a special occasion the decor looked like it was done by a 5 year old. The cake was loppy. However the taste was really good. Not worth $95 dollars tho. I decided to go back and get a tres leches cake because the last one tasted so good. Well this cake was dry the strawberries were old and starting to get that gray mushy color the frosting was hard not smooth and fresh like the first cake. It was like I was at a total different bakery. When I told the lady they made me drive back and scolded me saying I'm the one that who doesn't understand what a tres leches cake is. They said the cake was a three day old cake but still considered fresh. The "manager" is so rude. I continued to be pleasant took my money and walked out. Never again going back! The cake was definitely old and it showed. The strawberries were sour. The cake looked 1 week old. Yet I was in the wrong. I would have went back if she would have been polite about it. It was like she made me go back to humiliate me in front of the other customers. I left feeling angry with myself for not standing up to her. As I waited for my refund another unhappy customer was complaining about a different item. Left a bad taste in my mouth. All the negative reviews are right.
