I got delivery. It was a decent meal, I enjoyed the takoyaki. The rainbow roll was fine, nothing incredible. The chicken katsu was a little weird to me, the flavors didn't seem right. The sauce seemed too worcerstershire-saucy, not enough tanginess. It wasn't my favorite to eat. Not terrible, but I won't return.

I was in the mood for Sushi but didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices that local restaurants were posting in their online menus. Aji Ichi fulfilled my appetite without draining my wallet. It's an unassuming little spot, not too fancy on the decor. Their sushi is very good, (ingredients top-notch and fresh) and affordable. Service was very quick and the servers were very helpful. I recommend the Cherry Blossom Roll, Dragon Roll and 49er Roll.

Had sushi my first night on my vacation. The very nice lady where I bought my Novo smoke vape Suggested the sushi place as one of the best in town. And she was absolutely right! This is some of the freshest sushi I think I’ve ever had. Be sure and check it out downtown San Bruno, and walk around because there is a lot to see here!!

Had the food delivered, but the worst tasting gyoza I've ever had. The sashimi was luke warm too. I've had delivery from other Japanese restaurants but this was disappointing from all the high star

It was fine. Nothing special. The combination udon (chicken, tempura, etc) looked fantastic and I loved the meat, but the soup was pretty plain. The chicken katsu was good, maybe a little dry. And the two item bento: the short ribs were tasty but rather skimpy and the teriyaki chicken was slightly dry. But the portion size was good for the price. They appear to do a lot of sushi takeout. And the waiter service was slow, like waiting for someone to take our order, because of the high takeout volume, I think. But the kitchen food prep was fast at least.

Food was good, but they treated my kid like he wasn't there or didn't count as a person eating at the table. It was weird.

Would definitely eat here again Solid 4, possibly 4.5 (especially coming from Santa Cruz where food is not great so anything halfway decent tastes like a half star more to us) Everything was tasty - 49er - we swapped out to have the base a California roll - sashimi platter - hubby didn't like Suzuki but enjoyed everything else. Red tuna, white tuna, salmon - Fish was fresh - spider roll - crab is fried in fine panko crumbs. I prefer a more traditional tempura batter but it was good. Very little roe if any . Very large pieces. Generous portion - rainbow roll - good - rice was not hard - hotatte (Hokkaido scallop) nigiri was amazing. Best thing we ate and so fresh and sweet

Great sushi selection and quality. The Love roll was amazing - Great flavors and textures wrapped into one roll. All in all everything was above par with the exception of the Tempura sauce - too watery. Will return.

Just went to this place yesterday and it was great!! Service was so friendly and the food was great! I had the shrimp tempura roll and the chicken teriyaki roll and everything was tasty! I would definitely recommend this place! Super cute inside as well!

Creatively prepared food that is scrumptious!!! Great find for heading to SFO or just in the area. We will keep this one in our future plans -

Amazing place. The staff were really on it. The amount of attention the paid to make sure I was taken care of was awesome. The food was mouth water and delicious, it true filled me up by the time I finished eating I just wanted to sleep. The gold Sake was smooth and very different. The server informed me about everything I had questions about and gave great details to all I asked.

A nice small Japanese restaurant located in San Bruno. I've been coming to this location here and there throughout the years and have never left disappointed. Only downside is parking can be a little tough to find although there is a small parking lot nearby. Typically it ends up being full most of the time when I go. When it comes to the restaurant itself it is a comfortable environment. It's usually never super busy so it is easy getting a seat quickly. The owners are super nice and personable as they treat you more than just a customer especially when you become more of a regular. They are friendly and provide great efficient service. On my most recent visit I got the Four Season Roll ($17.50) since that is their most recommended and popular roll and the Unagi Donburi ($18.95). I also tried the hamachi and you can definitely tell it is quite fresh. When it came to the rolls you can definitely tell the effort put into the presentation and having plenty of sauce is nice too. The Four Season Roll had a good amount of tuna, unagi, and avocado. I'd definitely recommend it. I was craving an Unagi Donburi and they definitely provide a generous portion. It has a really nice fatty texture and the flavors were on point. They certainly don't skimp out on the rice either. I definitely recommend Aji Ichi for their quality and care that they put into their food plus the great customer service they provide. It's a family owned restaurant that I feel is pretty underrated and is one of the better options in the area.

This is a long overdue review! I don't eat seafood, but I love Japanese food. Although Aji Ichi has a large variety of sushi, I have only eaten their entree items. If you're with a friend who's craving sushi, and you don't eat seafood like me, this restaurant is a safe choice. Over the past couple of years, I have found a few of my favorite dishes from Aji Ichi: - Chicken Teriyaki - Tonkatsu/Chicken Katsu - New York Steak Teriyaki - HOUSE SALAD!*** My absolute favorite item from Aji Ichi is specifically their house salad... the dressing is amazing. It seems to be a ginger, carrot, mixture - and I get it every single time. Once, I ordered 4 sides of the house salad in one sitting. Yes, I love it that much.
