I dropped in randomly and got their famous tri tip sandwich. It's amazing. The staff is friendly and food is delicious. I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Yum.

*this review is from a DoorDash order* Ordered three sandwiches for my family and I! We got the magic trip tip, the sleeper, and the Bruno. All sandwiches were about 7inches. The tri tip was definitely the best of the bunch! A good amount of meat and was flavorful/warm. Unfortunately, the other two sandwiches were very disappointing. Both came out super tough/hard bread (we got sourdough). It was towards the end of the day, so that could have been the reason. The other issue was that my sandwich, the Bruno was supposed to come with salami, but it didn't come with any. Would try again, but go in store this time to make sure everything is made correctly.

Drive by this place all the time, and finally decided to check it out. Was a little shocked by the cursing, but just know it was all love and jokes Lol. Only knew this man for about 15 mins, but he earned my respect with the amount of meat he put into the sandwiches. Three words I would describe this place would be: generous, funny, and delicious. I would definitely come back.

Yes, the hype is worth checking this place out! Trip tip sandwiches for my buddy and me. 5/5. Mr Carroll is one of the best humans I’ve ever spoken with. He’s amazing and this is an amazing local spot with a ton of history! I can’t wait to go back and try another because it was so good the first time around!

Very cute little sandwich shop, my sandwich was made by Mr Carroll himself who was very sweet and made pleasant conversation while I paid. I got the tri-tip sandwich, which was more like a brisket sandwich but delicious none the less. If I lived closer I’d be here more often!
Amazing experience all around mike is a really friendly and kind man who makes a bomb sandwich got the number 1 definitely exceeded my expectation I definitely will be back ?

This is one of the last great delis in the Bay Area. Everything is great but my favorite is the tri tip !
I walked in while waiting for my alignment to finish and was kindly greeted by the owner, Mike. After a friendly conversation, I l ordered a tritip sandwich. Before I left he suggested I try a piece of the hangar steak that he had behind the counter. And Wooooow, was I impressed. I couldn’t leave without a pack of his Black Magic Rub. I will be back, that’s forsure.

I called my usual sandwich spot and towards the end of my phone order they hang up on. When I called back a different person answered and said they were to busy and was not taking any more phone orders and told me to walk in. So I searched yelp and found Carroll's and gave them a call. The owner was very friendly over the phone and in-person. I ordered the black magic tri-tip. The sandwich was ready when I arrived and the owner and I chopped it up. I will be back to try other things... maybe the ribs!

Best sandwiches on the Peninsula. Go to place for meats and seasoning. Mike and Sonia are old school San Franciscan's with deep rooted history in the city and are simply the best.
