A pure dive bar to its soul. I came here on a Friday night, and Dog House has everything you want in a dive. Chill vibe and bartenders, good drink prices, and an including a variety of shot+beer combo options.I asked for “a Jameson and a beer”, getting a Budweiser and a very generous pour of Jamo for $10. Hope to grab a drink here next time I’m in the area

For more than 10 years I bartended all over Pacifica at some of their best little dive bars; I miss those days, and the Dog House makes me feel right at home! Great bartenders, and fun, friendly patrons (Woof) BUT NOTE: the fish and chips place next door closed, so there is no more food available to archer at the bar.

Really wanted to like this place. Cool atmosphere, really looks like an old school bar you’d love to come back to again and again. But you can count on an empty drink for quite a while, even on a very slow night. Almost feels like a “locals only” bar. Bartender walked by an empty glass near me many times, didn’t ever ask if I wanted another, and served others several more times in the meantime. They were also smoking a cigarette inside. Gonna have to pass on this one

I'm at the owners make good folks I'm going to have folks over here working for them it's a family bar and you're at first San Bruno or it's always good energy and less folks meeting this spot you never know miraculous things and also happens and the food best barbecue and whatever they have on the menu on that date no disappointment good vibe the company the peoples

If you're looking for an awesome dive bar, I cannot recommend this enough. We stopped in just because of the way it looked on the outside.Great prices, although they may want to stock at least a Chardonnay for the ladies.Definitely plan to come back again.

My son and I are from outside of Chicago. We jumped off the plane at SFO, got the rental cars, and drove just a few minutes looking for a bar. We found The Dog House, and every time we jump in a jet to San Francisco and land, The Dog House is our first stop. And the night before we get on a plane to go back to Chicago, we get smashed at The Dog House.
We were in town for a conference and looked up local dive bars. It was perfect for us...good people...not pretentious and good prices on drinks of course. The best part was our bartender, Austin. Always a good time to sit in a dive bar and have an intellectual conversation while drinking. If you don't like dive bars...find a fancy place. If you want a community atmosphere with good conversation and good drinks, this is your place.

Same boring bartender, leaves the door open freezing cold no wonder only 3-4 customers,plays own music,head banging,very uncomfortable didn't even finish beer !!!

GO TO DOG HOUSE!!!!!! I came to San Bruno from Houston,TX and I must say I enjoyed my night here. Austin is a Drink mixing god and they let you play your music on a bluetooth juke box... Psss! Psss! They have a fire ball machine.

Wife and I stayed the night in San Bruno on our way north to visit our Grand Daughter. THE DOG HOUSE was a perfect stop. Bartender very friendly. Makes a great manhatinAlso a classic Mustang guy.

My husband and I traveling through through the bay area had the great luck finding this fabulous bar. Our bartender not only made a fantastic Manhattan but was a great host. I wish I got his name. We so enjoyed our conversation about cooking a great steak. It was so refreshing to be around real people in such a fake world. Thank you to our wonderful bartender. I hope you get your Bronco fixed!
