My wife and I were in the San Francisco area for a week and had generally excellent food. My wife found this restaurant via Google and we decided to visit because of the good reviews and proximity to our Airbnb. We were not sure what to expect as this restaurant was so close to airport and there were many open tables. We had an excellent experience!!! The food and wine were top tier as well as the service. For entrees we had rack of lamb and the linguine lobster. The food was perfectly prepared and of extremely high quality. Towards the end of the meal we go into a discussion with the owner on wineries to visit in Napa/Sonoma. We were both very passionate about wine and at the end she comp’d us a bottle of very expensive wine from her favorite winery. Don’t hesitate to try JC Bruno- you will love it.

My team had ~50 people traveling in and needed to find somewhere in San Bruno for dinner. Not only was Marcela easy to work with and very responsive, but the food was delicious and every dietary request was met. I was blown away by the quality of the food and the service, as well as the cute, heated patio. The entire team left happy and full. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

JC Bruno Restaurant is a good place to eat good food.One thing I don't understand is why they never hire more people to do customer service. In our table the service was very poor, as the food did not come out the same time. Some people are already finished eating while the others are still waiting for their food. This is for the group of more than 20 people. Since they knew that more people were coming, they should make a plan to hire more people. The waiting time is terrible.

Went here on a Wednesday to be welcomed by JC himself but said they were closed for the night and we could come back Friday and he could take care of us since we were unable to make it into the restaurant that night. We said we'd come back Friday and ask if a reservation was needed. He said there was no need and there would be music too.Came to the place Friday like we said just to be turned away by an unfriendly lady who said we'd need a reservation. We told her JC said we did not need one and that we talked to him just a couple of days ago. She said no with attitude. Sucks we got dressed, and we went out of our way to eat here just to get turned away. Yet again, we have to find another place to eat while being hungry! She basically shooed us away. Not coming back just to be turned away a 3rd time.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! Honestly driving by it, you wouldn't know it's a restaurant from the outside. It's such a cute place inside, especially when they open up the outdoor seating area. Parking could be a bit difficult since there's no parking lot & it's just street parking. We ordered the Linguini Lobster Pasta, French Bouillabaisse, Atlantic Salmon, Rack of Lamb & Filet Mignon and they were all delicious! Their service was great - we had a larger party & the servers were very friendly &attentive. I would definitely recommend checking this place out :)

My family went here for a birthday dinner and we were very impressed by this place. Parking is a little difficult to find, but it is SO worth it for the food. The pasta special was a squid ink seafood dish and we loved it so much that we ordered 2! The rack of lamb was seared well and came with plenty of sides. I'm a big bread person so I was a huge fan of the complimentary bread and butter. Soft, warm, and delightful. The other food we had like the calamari were delicious too. Only critique I can think of were the service being slightly slow and the squid in the calamari being a litttttttle too rubbery, but the atmosphere, flavors, big portions, and hospitality more than made up for it. Like a boomerang, we'd 100% come back again

We absolutely love this restaurant. Bruno tartar is fabulous. Love the beautifully prepared actually rare rib eye steak and lamb shank. Great scallops and lobster tortellini. Excellent butter sauce. Highly recommend the creme Brulee. Oleg is an excellent and attentive server. Marcella and JC are fantastic! JC is the most excellent chef with attention to detail and flavor. I love ALL the butter!!!!! Lovely outdoor seating environment. Well endowed portions too! It was our 2nd time here and we will be back again!!!
