I didn’t eat in, but the pork fried rice and signature basil chicken were far above my expectations. Super large portions too for a reasonable price. Wish I had snapped a pic of the basil chicken with its guest stars green beans, eggplant and jalapeño. Will definitely order again.

I had the Walnut Prawns House Special and I must say, the shrimp was impeccably fresh and delightfully crisp. Despite being the sole server, the lady provided exceptional service.I recommend trying out this Chinese establishment. I will be back for sure.

Tasty food and friendly service at Amazing Wok! Those seeking fresh, flavorful dishes and generous portions will be happy to visit this restaurant conveniently open 7/7 from 11am to 9pm. I recently visited this welcoming place whose staff was both prompt and attentive, and started with a nice Hot and Sour soup and some crispy and freshly made appetizers - Gyoza and Spring rolls. I followed up with the best Chicken salad I've ever had, the chicken tender and crispy and the vinaigrette perfectly tangy! This clean and spacious restaurant and its simple and tasty menu is a true find in downtown San Carlos and already does a brisk takeout business. If you're looking for a nice place to enjoy great Chinese food and friendly service, Amazing Wok on Laurel St is the place to go!

Food is great! I highly recommend the won ton soup with prawns. Service is pretty bad, the server spends most of the time in the kitchen or handling takeout orders and the place is pretty ugly inside- no ambiance whatsoever, but the food is delicious!!

Came here for dinner with family because many restaurants were packed due to Lunar New Year's Eve. This place is a small cozy place and food was great. Price is reasonable compared to many other Chinese restaurant I've been to. They even have lunch special menu and it's really good deal.The owner was friendly and service was good. I had a good dining experience here and I am glad I didn't read the review before give this place a try.I suggest people to give this place a chance and try their food before decided to not come here due to bad review on the service

The food is great but the service, omg so messy and not organized. I had to get three different doordash people and at the end telling me its not telling any orders? I waited like an hour and they confirmed to me it was getting prepared. I even called and they were talking to other people when I was calling them, so rude. Never again placing an order again.
Prices have gone up but whose hasn't place always has fantastic food service is great I've been going here for 20 plus years.Parking: This particular location is located on South Laurel there is always parking down here they should develop South Laurel but at the same time I don't want them to because South Laurel is quiet lots of parking it's very nice. Not sure why South Laurel never worked out to be the same as North Laurel.

I went to pick up a meal and they treated me like a criminal, because I didn't know a number, when the order was placed in the name of a person and I had to talk on the phone to tell them that it was the person's, and still have them confirm it. He reluctantly points out that I should pick up the food, it made me very angry, she is a Chinese lady, they should not put her in customer service, very bad service.

Unfortunately like most of these recent reviews, amazing wok went down hill once Lissa sold restaurant. She was the best, food was amazing. I'm reading a lot of the restaurant owners responses and the chefs might be the same but the way they pack the food is different(and trust me it makes a difference). Different containers, smaller portions. I mean when I order my Chinese food I want it to come out in a Chinese takeout box. Kinda the point of Chinese takeout. I wish you would change these things and maybe I would be willing to give amazing wok another try.

Used to be my families go to for years until it was sold to new owners who kept the name. The food is still tasty, however, last time I went with my family I had to pay with a card that wasn't mine, so I didn't tip then I get insulted by the old lady who is the new waitress she called me "crazy" after not tipping. My family misses the waitress from before very kind and always felt welcome.
