I had lunch at this Italian restaurant on a Thursday afternoon with a former business colleague and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the Grilled Prawns Wrapped with Pancetta appetizer, with the Veal Piccata and the Salmon Nicoise salad as entrees. All of the dishes served were very generous portions. The Grilled Prawns had three very large fresh prawns and was served with a lot of delicious sauteed beans with arugula on top. The dish tasted fantastic. The Veal Piccata was also to die for- served in a rich lemon butter sauce with capers over mashed potatoes and a lot of fresh spinach. Enough to take home for the next day! The Salmon Nicoise salad had an abundance of fresh ingredients and was very tasty. Bread and an olive oil bread dip are served at no charge when seated. We finished off our meal with two traditionally made Cappuccinos that were perfect. Service was also impeccable with exactly the right timing between courses. This restaurant is now on my "return again and again" list! Thank you so much for a great and satisfying meal.

Ilhan is a consummate professional. Great server! The capallini was perfection, my hubby loved the sea bass special, Gamze loved the salmon, and we simply enjoyed our time together. Great place to gather with friends for a meal.

Worst experience. Food was great as was service. All ruined by a chauvinistic manager (maybe the owner) who asked us to move so he could put together a table for 6. We hadn't even paid our check yet. Don't go there! We were a party of two women...very disrespectful!

I could not have been more disappointed in the service during our visit. We booked a table for two at 7:00 p.m. on Valentine's Day. We arrived a few minutes before 7:00 p.m. and were promptly seated. We were encouraged to order very quickly as we were told "the kitchen is very busy." It was apparent from the moment that we arrived that the staff wanted to turn over the tables as quickly as possible. At 8:05 p.m. (just over an hour after the time of our reservation), our waiter approached our table and advised us that they had customers waiting to be seated. At 8:15 p.m., he approached the table and again "encouraged" us to leave. When I told him that we were only 1 hour in 15 minutes into our reservation, he asked me for my name apparently wanting to check the time that were seated. As a result, we promptly got up and left, needless to say, never to return. We have been dining in San Carlos at nearly every restaurant for over 20 years, and have never once been treated like our visit to Spasso. This is the first negative restaurant review I have ever written as I am simply inclined to go elsewhere when the service or food is poor. However, I think our experience at Spasso on Valentine's Day is worth noting.

Had lunch at Spasso on a Friday. Reservations at 11:30. Not crowded. Service was prompt and courteous. We split the bruschetta and the arugula & pear salad. The salad was nicely divided onto two plates, each with toppings. Server brought a basket of bread and an olive oil/herb dip. Servers were attentive without being overbearing. If you're looking for a light lunch, ours fit the bill. Always nice to be in a restaurant where you can easily converse without talking over music or noise. Will definitely return.

I ordered the Teriyaki skirt steak served on a bed of garlic mash and green beans topped with thin fried onion rings. Dish was ok. Everything was fine except I found the skirt steak yo be on the mushy side. Perhaps it was sitting in the marinade, too long? You couldn't taste the meat anymore. This dish was very expensive for skirt steak.Tiramisu was good. Sorry, I forgot the pics. My sis had the seafood fettuccine, and she really liked it.I would say try this place yourself and see what you think.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. They even found us cutting in front of the restaurant when they noticed by brother left a large tip but they had already added gratuity because of our large group. Hats off to that kind of honesty. I highly recommend this restaurant.
