First off, great customer service from the staff. They were very helpful in giving us recommendations and information on signing up with Susie Cakes for a free cupcake. My boyfriend was very happy for that since it was his birthday. Th cupcakes we got were very moist, however I felt that the slice of Celebration cake was a little on the dry side.

I bought a slice of every flavor cake and made a cake appetizer sampler out of it. Best cakes I've ever tried. All the ingredients taste rich and fresh. Each slice was really moist and delicious! The slices are pretty big which was great. I'd say. Slice would feed about two people. I'm hoping for more locations to be opened up soon cause Susie cakes deff knocks out your usual grocery store cake fasure. Btw the employees are super helpful and really sweet. I appreciated their help and patience.

After reading reviews, I stopped by as I was in the area. I ordered 4 cupcakes, all different flavors. 3 of the 4: vanilla, coconut and the seasonal whiskey were SO DRY and dense. The chocolate with chocolate buttercream was perfectly moist which is why this review is getting two stars instead of 1. The lack of consistency was unfortunate, especially for the price.

SusieCakes is our go to bakery for work events. They are always delicious, moist and have the right frosting to cake ratio. They do custom orders and you can add your company logo which is nice. They also have gluten free which are equally delicious

Delicious cakes and cupcakes at this cute place in downtown San Carlos. Ordered two birthday cakes for a milestone birthday celebration, and everything turned out perfectly. Thank you for the friendly and efficient service! Finding parking in downtown San Carlos can be difficult, though.

Worst cake l have ever purchased! Saturday l bought cake for $79 it was horrible I feel so bad until we cut cake for birthday celebration and no one liked it. First time l purchased cake from here l ll never buy again, they have no idea what is baking , pastry cream and icing. Very bad. Not recommended.

I was very happy with cupcakes from the SF SusieCakes location so brought my inlaws here while they were in town. Unfortunately the cake on both cupcakes we had - coconut and strawberry - were pretty dry. A little embarrassing since we gave rave reviews. Not sure if the cupcakes were overbaked or what, but maybe it was just an off day. Based on our SF experience we'd still give this one more try.

I enjoy stopping in when I'm in the area, and Susie Cakes is my go-to for ordering cakes for special occasions. I think about Susie Cakes even when I'm not in the market for cakes. The app has some good deals as well.
Very nice owner, but don't bother talking to the staff. They were unwilling/unable to decorate their flourless chocolate cake as a Happy Halloween Birthday cake. All they had to offer were tiny, unnoticeable, Halloween sprinkles, and a price of nearly $60 for a single layer, undecorated, cake. A little creativity and customer service would have gone a long way. Spend your pastry $ elsewhere. I went in looking forward to creating a celebration for my 94 year old mom, and left a disappointed and dissatisfied customer who won't be back.

The cakes are very good . We love loved their carrot cake and the coconut cake . Only thing is that the coconut pineapple cake the frosting is extremely sweet . We just have to spit it out . I understand cake is not necessarily a healthy thing , but it would be really great if they can reduce the sweetness in the icing and if possible the cakes themselves. If its not that sweet then 5 stars all the way.
