Pricey. 60$ buffet is only choice. If you're a big guy and want all you can eat...

Seems to be closed. Have not seen any movement inside for months!!!! Menus still in the case outside. Guess another open spot on Laurel Street...

Steaks were great; menu just varied enough to allow a few repeat visits. Sides solid. Service was bad. Drinks slow. Rarely saw our waiter. Long sad pauses between courses. It's Covid, so a grain of salt here, go, expect to overpay, be patient, enjoy the excellent steaks. Support your local businesses.

Food was average, not worth the price. Ambience was too loud with some techno music. Seat cushions worn out. Bathrooms dark, falling apart, soap dispenser torn from wall, paper towels cheap fell apart as you dried your hands. Service was slow, claimed short handed. If planning to charge those prices they need to step it up. Not planning on coming back.

Scrumptious, yummy food, with balanced portions that made me full enough without feeling bloated. We order pork belly, steaks, and sides to share. I really enjoyed the carrots, and love how they sliced our cuts for us. Watching the wagyu being cooked was fun, too. We also had some cocktails, which had really fun cups for each type of drink, and were all pretty delicious, though sweet. I found it interesting that we had to ask for bread service, but I guess it’s not an olive garden or anything so ?. Also, if we got too full on bread I don’t think we’d appreciate the meal as much. Lastly, we shared some cake and I had an Affogato, which I appreciated they had decaf espresso; I didn’t know that was a thing. I reserved the table on open table, I think, and added that it was for a birthday and asked for desert for the birthday boy. I was surprised that they brought our table a round of Prosecco, and gave the birthday boy a crème brûlée with a candle. ? Oh, and they change the menu every couple months, so just check if you’re pining for something in particular if that’s a deal breaker or not to choosing this restaurant. It was quite empty on a Thursday evening, and the food is pricey, but we left feeling satisfied and happy we chose Taurus.

Oh, where to begin. I really want to like this place. It’s so nicely decorated and is our only true steakhouse. But then there’s reality. Poor service (kind people but so bad at their job), meh food, super high prices, don’t have the wine they claim to have. It has so much potential. Need to shake things up to make it function. Restaurant 101 stuff!

We had girls night out on Friday night. It was my first visit. Restaurant was almost empty and I was a bit surprised, because TOWN restaurant that located just across the street was packed! While waiting for some of my friends to arrive, we decided to sit by the bar. Cocktails were great and bartenders definitely knew what they were doing. For dinner, we moved to the main dining room. Lovely interior with modern touches. Our server was surprisingly inexperienced. He made several mistakes with our order and he was not enthusiastic at all. We were a bit surprised. Overall food was good. We decided to have it family style. For appetizers we had beef tartar, grilled octopus and pork belly. Yum! American Wagy on another hand was just ok, but side dishes ( truffle Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts) were lovely. Will I come back? Probably not.

The menu has changed significantly since the restaurant opened and is now very limited. The wagyu that was once all over the menu is barely present. The cocktail menu is also very limited. Food was ok and prices are on par with Alexander's without the white glove service and excellent meat. The side selection is also limited. Husband said he'd be surprised if they're still open in a year.

Cool spot... Maybe had a tough time, although there was a special Valentine Day menu, with service and quality of food - some items received cold, took a bit long for food to come out, staff wad very friendly but obviously in the weeks. Parking in downtown San Carlos can be brutal...

The main items one would get were “out” that evening. It was a Thursday and it was not crowded at all. The place looks bare and like it's going out of business. The fridges barely has anything in them, the tables had no ambiance or character. The waitress was nice but by the time we would have ordered a bottle of wine (the sommelier was also out), we were already thru the main so we just passed on it. It just felt like the place was struggling while across the street and down the road places are busy. I thought the people were really pleasant and accommodating, but for the 30% more you pay here I would say the value is non existent. To be clear the food was good, just not for the price.

Food was great. - Wine list is inaccurate, from the server's answers, it seems the management is not ordering enough inventory. - Ordered the tamahawk ribeye, server didn't mention the cut was wagyu or the price at the time of ordering. $250 came as a bit of a surprise, but it was quite good. - Server stated that the dish came with three sides, three sides were on the bill end of the night and I had to had it removed. The restaurant has all the hallmark of a place ready to go under.

Atmosphere, decor, and music were ideal. Service was great, attention to detail was nice. Octopus and beef tartare appetizers were delicious and beautifully plated. NY strip steak had great flavor and cooked properly, but had some chewy and tough spots that should have been trimmed off before cooking. Truffle Mac and cheese was delicious, as were the huge portion of mushrooms which complimented all 4 of our steaks nicely. Wine list left a lot to be desired. By the glass list was small and by the bottle list was huge but most were out of stock. It made for an uncomfortable situation if having to settle for a bottle more expensive than we were planning to order because all the mid range bottles were sold out and server was unfamiliar with the low range bottles. Wine buyer should be on top of ordering or make the list smaller and more manageable. Overall great experience.
