The food was good but not exceptional. For the prices, you would generally expect a bit better. Strong use of sauces in the food, which were not always on point.

Dietary restrictions: One of us had issues with dairy and the waiter was kind enough to place the cheese on the fig salad on the side.

Such a lovely place. Caramel gelato to die for. Excellent roasted carrots. Very nice bottle of Malbec. Alas, beef Bourgogne a complete fail: bad gnocchi for the starch, very little beef, misplaced enoki (why??), sauce not reduced at all. A rare misstep for Fig.

FIG continues to be one of the best restaurants in Orange County. High quality, interesting food choices. Carnivores and diabetics can be very happy with a wide-ranging menu offering many options. An extremely good Caesar Salad that an only be improved with the addition of anchovies (didn't get the memo?) Fish options are uniformly good. One recommendation would be to order each stage of the meal separately (i.e., finish the salad before you order the main course, etc.) You will enjoy it more, and it avoids the sometimes problem of main dishes arriving cold.

I dined several times at Fig in the past. Food and service always great. But what happened to me last time when there is important to be acknowledged and appreciated. After our dinner, when picking up my purse, my wallet must have felled out to the ground. I haven't noticed till I got a phone call from management saying they have my wallet. I must say I was very nervous as it had a lots of money in it. Did I dropped some out too ? But, Not only, everything was there to the last penny, my wallet was carefully wrapped and sealed in plastic bag. In addition, the manager made a special effort to accommodate me and meet me in the morning (beyond their business hours). I can't say enough how grateful I feel and how honest and genuine they are. So, not only does Fig offers good food and service but also business operations integrity so rare to find.

The food & drink were great and the service was solid. We particularly enjoyed meeting Jaydin & Gabriel. What pushed the review down to 3 stars was someone calling my wife from the restaurant after dinner to say that we had been given the wrong check and that we owed another $20+ dollars. They admitted that it was the server's mistake and for that amount the restaurant should have eaten the cost themselves.

Had an overall nice dining experience. Food was beyond excellent. Scallops and truffle fries are delicious. Special cocktails were tasty. Our table was in a bit of a high traffic area by the kitchen and the door constantly swang open and shut which was a tad distracting. Again highly recommend though as it was excellent service and food.

Great and friendly service also enjoyed the goat cheese fondue. Pricey drinks and an Undercooked burger and wedged into a tiny spot on their lovely patio. But overall more positives than negatives and I would try them again.

We dined outside... lovely environment and something I would suggest. Entrees are top shelf. You might think you're in Europe. Small, but nice wine list. Service was outstanding. It is one of the top restaurants in South Orange county. Definitely recommend and we'll be back for sure.

Had the olive tapenade and truffle fries to start. They were excellent! For my entree, I ordered the surf and turf with the filet mignon and scallops. The filet was buttery and tender and the scallops perfectly cooked. The others in my party had the trout and the seafood pasta. Both were ok. Not bad, but not anything to write home about. My dish was the best out of the 3 entrees we ordered. The scallops were comped at the end of the night because apparently I was only served 3 pieces, when it was supposed to be 4. I honestly didn't notice and did not mind because there was plenty of food in my plate. It was good of them to own up to it though and not charge for the scallops. 5 stars for service!

So delicious! The goat cheese fondue was a great starter. I got the pork belly carbonara ? worth every single calorie! Tried a bite of the filet mignon, best steak I've ever eaten. We ordered every dessert and shared, the caramel ice cream and creme brulee were my favorite. Highly recommend. Sorry I was too busy eating to take more pictures.Parking: Suggested parking is at the church.

This place is a San Clemente favorite for me. The patio atmosphere is very special on a lovely day. Highly recommend. Great service. The food and drink are all excellent, although the menu selection is not very large.
