The best anywhere! Fresh eggplant in the springtime, and ricotta & spinach on pizza.

Great pizza! Downside: There is NO AIR CONDITIONING! I walked inside the pizzeria to be greeted by a smiling but sweaty young man. He asked me kindly what I would like, provided quick service, and thanked me for coming (as did the rest of the team). Throughout the entire interaction, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor kids that work in the sauna (that is the big pizza oven kitchen). Shame on the OWNER of La Rocco's Pizzeria. Nothing is worse than to see a prospering business subject their employees to such terrible working conditions. I don't care how tasty your pizza is, if you don't provide humane conditions for your employees you've lost my business. Do better PAUL LA ROCCO. And to the La Rocco's guests that come across this review- please do your part and SPEAK UP. This is our community and these are our kids. You wouldn't want your kids working in a sweatshop would you?

Awesome pizza house!Brooklyn special is on point. I'm from Boston, use to work at a local pizza house back there and in the 15 years living in California... i will Only eat at 2 pizza places one is in SD and the other is LoRocco's.The staff are always great, friendly, and make killer pizza and desserts.Plus you get a LaRoccos magnet with a pizza order. 8 magnets = a free pie.

Not NY pizza. The dough is too chewy, the sauce isn’t flavorful enough. On the bright side, the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Such a disappointing change of ownership. We have been coming to this place since it opened over a decade ago but the ownership has changed, along with it the quality and service. We ordered a total of 16 slices for the 9 of us, along with two orders of garlic knots. The slices in the case were old, the dough was flat and tasteless. When going to get out cheese slices from the case to warm up for our order, the person accidentally pushed two of the cheese slices off of the tray to the bottom of the case. He picked them up and put them back on the rack to be served later. We walked outside to sit and eat, to find the trash over flowing and place a mess. There were 4 people working behind the counter and only 1 cook, but they probably hadn't picked up the trash all day (it was 7p when we ordered). The picture below is after one of the guys came over to pick up some of the boxes and trash. After eating, we asked if one of our kids could use one of the two restrooms, they have and they said no. They said the owner would not allow anyone to use their restrooms. Such a bummer

Yummmy thin crust pizza!! For a quick bite to eat on our way home, we stopped here for a couple of slices. Each slice is $3.50. They have a deal for 2 slices + drink for $8.50 as well. I had a slice of cheese and a slice with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. I ordered twice so my first slice was the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom one. They take the slice and reheat in the pizza oven and it was delicious!! I loved their dough. Thin crust which was crunchier, but it also had a thin layer of softness inside. Soooo good! When I normally have NY style pizza, I'm used to the thin crust where you have to fold and hold. My second slice was the cheese pizza and maybe they didn't leave it as long in the oven, but it wasn't as crunchy--fold and hold a bit. However, it was still very delicious. I loved the sauce and the cheese!! The cashier we had was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd go to again! I just wish it was closer to home.

Love this little pizza place that my son brought me too. I usually don't like pizza but I really can't pass up thin crust pizza made just right and to top it off they sell bottled beer! My son loves their calzones but I opted for different slices and a Pacifico. What a treat! I'll be back!
