Ordered grilled chicken burrito. Tortilla was old and crumbly, burrito blew apart and made a substantial mess while eating, the burrito had already partially broken while being assembled. Three other people at the same time has the same issue. This is a quality control issue. The picante salsa tasted bad/wrong/horrible. Not sure how they serve that, it is not edible and has a very off putting after taste. Others agreed this salsa was bad and would not eat it. The roasted chipotle was ok.

The variety is amazing, and the substitutions you can make are endless: steak, chicken, salmon, mahi mahi, shrimp, veggies, or plant-based protein substitutes with citrus rice, brown rice and quinoa, cauliflower rice, or Mexican rice. I ordered a burrito. It took over a half hour enroute. By the time I got it, it was a cold congealed mess. Also, it was basically a bean and rice burrito. I saw a few chunks of chicken only.' I threw it away.

A mess of a fish burrito it was more beans than anything almost no fish some cabbage it was like no white sauce maybe the smallest squeeze possible it wasn’t busy for them to put out such a terrible result I been eating at this Rubios from the time I was a kid I’m a local I remember when use come to eat here just to look at the salt water fish tank I could’ve gone eat some where else but I wanted to eat just as a throw back kinda burst that bubble and will not be recommending this place at least they didn’t lag but was it worth it ?

Cashier Dylan need's to see if he can handle a job on a loading dock or something of that nature. as he definitely does not belong dealing with the public. I watched him with other customers as I was there and it was the same attitude that I received . Now for the food , I ordered a " Steak burrito especial " What a crock , total disappointment... it was basically all bean and rice . I opened it up thinking I would remove some of the rice and beans and found that there was 1 teaspoon of steak... No not exaggerating ... I typically order a blackened mahi mahi burrito but have been getting the tail end with the fishy taste on the last few visits. Rubios used to be very good Unfortunately when they sold they changed for the worse . Very typical Another no BS review by Johnny B

I love rubios - great food. I've given a lot of my business to this restaurant. But, the last few DoorDash orders have been missing items and salsa. It's become a running joke in my home where we "wonder what they're going to forget this time..." Low and behold, again this evening, missing items...Do I seriously have to drive all the way there to check for myself to make sure everything is in the bag. Hope they make some changes about this soon.

Talked to the manager specifically to make sure our food was correct since my previous 2 orders had guacamole on our order which I am highly allergic to. I figured after talking to the manager to specifically make sure my food didn't have any guacamole on it, and him reassuring me that it didn't, I get home to find guacamole on my burrito once again. Really? Get it together. It's not that hard. Sad. I will never go back to any Rubio's since the 2 I have tried have been a huge let down.

This Rubios has the worst service ever! They brought our food out and half of it was missing. I then had to argue and show our receipt to get our food. Their excuse was that the order got cancelled. I had to ask them how that happens when you have no problem charging my credit card for the full amount. There was no appology by the restaurant. Best Rubio's I've ever visited. Nice cashier and the burrito I purchased was absolutely full. This location has restored my faith in the Rubio's franchise. If you're in San Clemente, come to this place for a delicious fast casual meal. If you're ever on 2nd street in Long Beach, do not go inside that Rubio's location, those people are terrible and always treated me poorly. Thanks again San Clemente Rubio's!

I love the food at Rubio's but I feel like every time I order it, the order is lacking. My son's kids meal had only a small handful of fries. The avocado slices on the tacos were also minimal which was very disappointing but they did taste good. Though they could have used more avocado to cool the spicy sauce.
