One of the food options at The Outlets SC. Set up as a faster food restaurant - order at the counter and food is brought to you. Menu is not expansive but there's a good selection. Food formats are bowls, salads, sandwich/rolls, tacos, and a few specialty/seasonal items. Seafood is the main protein but you can get chicken or beef, plus there is a plant-based option. The sides are unusual but tasty. Brussel sprouts were very good, truffle Parm tots were good but a bit too oil-y, and the cauliflower (battered and deep fried) were too greasy for me. For mains, the poke bowl is very good and healthy, and the lobster roll was really tasty. Looking forward to trying other items.

I ordered Uber eats and received the wrong order. After calling 11 times with no answer, I decided I would have to drive in. When I arrived, they were aware a mix up occurred as the other customer was already there. The two girls behind the counter asked the other customer to hand his bag to her- she swapped the items in our bags and looked at us and said “are we good?”This food was at my home… this is a food safety issue- the restaurant should not have taken food back and then given it to another customer. If the front end staff are untrained and willing to make such a blatant food safety violation, who knows what is going on in the kitchen. Additionally, I paid a delivery fee for Uber and then spent my own gas to drive in and I did not receive so much as a “sorry.”This is unacceptable service and safety. I like Slapfish but unfortunately I am not sure this location can be trusted.

Overcooked and small amount of fish for the bowl!I would’ve preferred a refund /get it changed out but would not let me.Not good impression for my 1st time visit!Guess I would’ve been better off with burrito but wanted see amount fish portion.Hopefully if management reads this can credit future meal to my account- then I’ll give them another chance and update review.

I love eating here when in San Clemente. Food is great and service is normally good. This time though (12/26/23) my fish and chips looks a bit lacking (See picture) compared to previous visits and pictures others posted on Yelp, and the young lady at the counter wasn’t friendly that day. I hope it’s not going to be a trend ‘cause I love eating here ?

Slap fish San Clemente is my new go to. It’s nice to have something that is outstanding and good for me! I’ve tried half the menu at this point. It’s a true “locals place” we get take out and watch the sunset at the park across from it, perfect view of the ocean. I can’t tell you how helpful it is to have a place like this close to home. They even have wine. , we love this place .

I have been to several other locations and order the same – however ordering it from this location was absolutely horrible. I was charged $30 for the grilled cheese with lobster and a side of the tater tots only to be not given the tots and the grilled cheese was just the bread…. This was a to go order so I didn’t see it until I got home. Super bummed.!

Best cod, fish taco ever! I like my grilled and it was perfect with the most amazing coleslaw and pickled onions. They were so nice to my doggy. We will definitely come back. Very hard to find a good fish place.
food was very good as well as the "organic" dragon fruit & passion fruit drink. Patty was very nice and helpful in choosing the mahi tacos.

I came in and ordered a side of parm tots. A friend of the cashier who worked the evening of 7 Nov 2023 around 645pm came in about 5 minutes later and ordered a side of tots. When my order came up the cashier gave it to his friend.

I don't know about you but when I eat in a mall, my expectations are reduced. It's not a fair opinion, because good food can be made anywhere.This is good food. In a mall. In fact, it's very high quality food. It's expensive, too.The coconut shrimp plate was excellent. The shrimp was juicy and delicious. The rice which accompanied the shrimp was just ok. The spicy fruity salad on the side was excellent.The "epic" shrtimp burrito wasn't epic but it was very good. It's filled with shrimp and bell peppers and it's got a ton of flavor. It's not a huge burrito but I wish it were a little bigger simply because it's damn good.The chips that came with the burrito were stale. It's a sin to serve stale chips, especially at these prices. And the so-called salsa that was served with the burrito and chips was simply offensive. It was absolute tasteless mush. My shoes have more heat and more flavor. Ownership, please get rid of this abomination.The place is very attractively designed and the workers were friendly. There's real silverware, craft beers, Mexican Coke, and interesting fruity fountain drinks. Yes, it's expensive but this is very high quality food. In a mall.
