We celebrated my daughters 20th birthday. The service was amazing. Karcher our waiter was amazing, he was so attentive, explained the menu to us and had some amazing suggestions as well. Everything we ordered from appetizers to the desserts were amazing. Karcher was so thoughtful that upon us mentioning it was my daughters birthday he went above and beyond and brought her dessert with a birthday candle. Thank you so much.. We will definitely return. 4/14/2024 Menu: Taquitos Caseros were tasty, Filet & Grilled Romaine was amazing, chicken flautas were yummy. Chipotle Dusted Sea Bass was my husbands favorite. El Vaquero was also a favorite. the drinks were yummy from the Strawberry lemonade, cokes, to the corona and the red wine to my favorite the cucumber margarita. :) The setting and the atmosphere was amazing.

This is my One of my favorite places to go for dinner, My absolute favorite is the Carne Norteña with the poblano sauce enchilada, it's the best. Service is always excellent, I have no complaints.

My favorite Mexican food, I eat there a few times a month. They did change the street corn at one point and it was like frozen corn but it was much better last time I went (it's one of my favorites). The margaritas are always amazing!

Impeccable service from Karcher and Chloe. Been to Nicks and Nicks on state and it is always awesome but for some reason haven't been to south of Nicks. finally made it today! Host was very attentive and professional. The whole restaurant has a great layout, modern yet keeping a gentle homage to Mexico. Service is impeccable which I would say is true at all Nicks locations. Wait staff and back waiters did an amazing job. Food is delicious. Chips and salsa seem like something you wouldn't comment on but they were just great. Main entrees were carnitas, seafood chile relleno, taco salad and shrimp tacos. All perfect size dishes and served promptly. Drinks (margaritas) were excellent by the bar staff. Overall a wonderful experience with my family. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

As a Mexican, I won't tell you this is the most authentic of Mexican foods. But why are you even expecting that here!? That's on you. It's too elevated and boujee to be authentic, BUT it *is* solid. My friend had chicken flautas and an a la carte enchilada. I had the seafood chile relleno. We also got some guacamole and the Nick's signature margarita! Everything was delish, solid portions, but even more delightful was the service. We really enjoyed our server and the prompt, kind service we received.

What can I say, south of Nicks or even just Nicks down the street I can't say no too. I am obsessed with both of these restaurants from the food to the service to the ambience. I cannot stop recommending these places without a doubt every time I'm here I always have a really pleasant time and great food.

Excellent food and good strong drinks guacamole as fresh the enchiladas are one of the best you can get with the seafood enchilada and the green sauce is excellent

Average. I don't understand the hype of this place. The food is mediocre at best, the staff is mostly very young and inexperienced and they play the same music repeatedly. It's loud as well and very dark.
