The lobster tasted very fresh and were perfectly matched by their brioche rolls. After enjoying our order, I bought another to take home. The 50/50 chowder was also a home run!

The Lobster Bisque soup is the best soup I've ever had! Seriously delicious. The lobster roll was also amazing, a very generous serving of lobster and that roll is to die for. The little crab cakes were also yummy.

This is a new restaurant that opened in Laguna Niguel. The location is very small with not much seating available. Therefore I placed my order as takeout. I tried the place shortly after they opened. At the time, the soda machine was not working. The chowder was $8. The lobster roll with two sides was $30. My second side was a can of Coke. The chowder was good. Not the best I have ever had. The lobster was also good. Probably it would have been better if I ate there as it would have been warmer. The baked beans were mostly liquid with very few beans. I would not order these again. The place is very expensive for a daily me for a lunch ($50+). I understand it is lobster; a pricy lunch for what you receive. The menu is also limited. I know there food truck is popular. I had the lobster grilled cheese at an event and thought that was yummy, still $22.

I went in this afternoon for the first time since they moved into our neighborhood. There was a very nice woman behind the register (her name escapes me right now) but she was very helpful, friendly and she made the experience even better. Let me start by saying they ARE better than Cousins! I ordered a crab roll with 2 sides; blue cheese slaw and baked beans, a bowl of lobster bisque, and their 5 inch refrigerated cook at home, lobster pot pie. The woman gave me a cup of their clam chowder to try which was really smart of her (more on that in a minute) and great public relations! The store is clean, upon entering you'll order at the counter and there is indoor and outside seating. So, let's get to the food; the crab roll was served on a brioche roll and it was piled high, but upon further investigation, you realize that it's just the top of the role that's full. The crab was sweet and tasted fresh. The sides were tasty; beans had a sweet flavor and the blue cheese slaw had loads of blue cheese. The next thing I tried was the lobster bisque; the base was very tasty, but there was little to no lobster in it!! It was a bisque base w. ONE little tiny piece of lobster in the whole bowl, which was very disappointing! (hence the four stars) The winner of the whole meal was the cup of clam chowder she gave me, which is why I said it was a smart move, I'd go back just for that! The last thing was their 5 inch lobster pot pie but I can't comment on that because I haven't cooked it. After sampling, I gave the rest of the food to my husband to try. Overall, the food was well prepared, the restaurant was clean, and the service was excellent!! (which is why I gave 4 stars and not 3) My overall recommendation would be to put more lobster in the lobster bisque!!

The Lobster Shack is delicious! I am very fussy about my seafood and the food here is fresh & homemade. I had lobster bisque- it was scrumptious, and the seafood salad was very good. They gave me some of each type of seafood, lobster, shrimp and crab. Everything I ate was wonderful. I highly recommend lobster shack. Enjoy!!!

I was craving Lobster Rolls and this place popped up in my area. My wife and I ordered the soup taste of lobster bisque, clam chowder, and cioppino. We also both got the lobster roll. It comes standard cold but we chose the warm (Connecticut) style. The lobster roll comes with a choice of 2 sides, which could be a drink. Overall was really good and one of the better lobster rolls in South County. The brioche bun was good and it wasn't doused in mayo. All the soups taste great with my favorite split between the chowder and bisque. The bisque was great to dip the bread. This place is definitely on the pricy side for a lunch, but honestly for lobster roll it is on par with most places price wise. I would say it's actually a better deal since it includes 2 sides. I will definitely be coming back again.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had the lobster roll and lobster bisque. Our server suggested we dip our roll into the soup, it was a great tip! I suggest going to Town Center in Laguna Niguel and treating yourself to something a little different from our regular bowls, tacos, and pizza!

AMAZING! What a cute spot and delicious food! I enjoyed a fully packed out, fresh, flavorful lobster roll which came with tasty baked beans and cole slaw!!! I cannot say enough about how delicious each and every bite was! And if you’re in the mood for a hearty bisque, ask for their 50/50! You won’t regret it! Then finally, as I always love to feel welcomed where I go, I have to say, there is an adorable, lively and happy couple that owns it and will share great big smiles and great vibes with you!!! WHAT A SPOT!!! ❤️ ?

Met by the owner just as it opened. Very nice and helpful with suggestions. Lovely lobster roll with a tasty bite. The slaw portion was smaller but the chowder just right. Sweet lemonade finished it off nicely. If you crave it like I did you won't be disappointed. Could have used just a touch more complexity to the lobster mix and assembly but that's me and a personal taste. What's more the menu clearly discussed the seasonally selected available meats that may make up your lobster roll. Honesty points fo sho!!! I'm gonna go out on a jetty and say I ate Main lobster in my roll Deuces!

This place is a gem! Had an amazing clam chowder bowl with the ‘secret sauce’. Quenching our thirst with an ice cold Arnold Palmer. The owner is very pleasant and passionate about his cuisine. We will definitely come back for that lobster roll and divine bread bowl.

Stopped by here a few weeks ago after dinner, didn’t know it existed. Women inside offered us some “half and half”, half lobster bisque, half clam chowder. Had never heard of such a thing but it was great and we promised to return for dinner soon. Last night was the night, and we brought four friends along. Each couple shared the Trio for Two. For $67 you get a lobster roll, a crab roll, and a shrimp roll, plus four sides (Cape Cod chips, Cole slaw, baked beans, beverage). Separately this would run about $80, so a good deal. And they cut the rolls in half for your convenience. Real New England “Top sliced” hotdog bun, buttered and grilled. Lots of meat, especially in the crab roll. Lots of meat in all the rolls, and very tasty, especially the crab roll. You can sit at small tables on their sidewalk or larger tables at the American restaurant next door and order adult beverages. Great food, great find in Old Town.

Best lobster roll, lobster Mac n cheese, and chowder lobster bisque combo soup I have ever had! The owner is so friendly and accommodating - we had a party of 7 and he brought out an extra table and chairs for us to use even after he was closed. I really appreciated his kindness and was so glad we got to try the food. We will definitely be back!

I'm assuming it was the owner who served me. He was really nice and cracked a few jokes while I was ordering. It was my first time having a lobster roll. $30 seemed kinda crazy for 1 roll, it's size, and the amount of meat you get, but I had to try it while on vacation. Two small sides are included. The beans were ok, but the blue cheese slaw was great. The cioppino was a pretty small bowl, and the shellfish seemed a bit overdone. I had to try it though to see what the rave was all about. It just didn't hit the spot for me personally.
