So glad we stoped here, really chill beach vibe with indoor and outdoor seating area. I had the lunch special a bacon burger with fries and a beer ... the food was delicious.Definitely will be back, I want to come later in the evening to catch the fireplace and outdoor lights.

Amazing food and great service. We have never been before, my wife and I were looking for something different. Well we found it! The skewers were fantastic and the peppers and fries definitely exceeded any expectations will definitely be back.

Hands down the best burger in San Clemente. I've eaten here twice and both times I was impressed by the food, service and speed at which the food came out. Every element of the burger is well done from the toasted brioche bun, to the house sauce, aged cheddar and burger patty. Plus gotta love the lunch special comes with a beer included! Definitely a gem!

Tacos are always good, but at The Local they're great. The person next to me said the burger was great; I believe him, it looked good too. They've got a good beer selection and liquor.

Phenomenal food with exceptional flavor. Fun atmosphere, fire side seating outside and indoor tables optional as well. Caring and attentive staff but wow- the flavor of the food is 5 star hands down. Dog friendly patio!!

My husband and I head to San Clemente about once or twice a year for quick getaways. This weekend was our first time visiting The Local. We enjoyed it so much that we went there both days and I can guarantee that we'll now be going back every time we visit SC. During our visits we had The Local burger, fries, the taco salad with chicken, a Cali Creamin', Cali Creamin' Blood Orange, and their award winning Peach Destiny. All of the food was yummy and the beers were super cold. The Peach Destiny may be my new favorite cocktail. I was worried it might be too sweet, but it was perfect. It went down so easily! Our favorite part of The Local, however, was meeting Frankie. If you're lucky enough to visit when she's there, you'll end up feeling like you've made a friend.

I love the vibe here! Food is delicious, staff is fun and the decor is delightful. Challenge yourself to eat (yes I said eat) the big bloody mary. That's a journey in itself.

New to me lunch menu with awesome burger selection on a nice and toasty Brioche Bun. Open windows and outdoor dining available! Clean with a lot of choices for seating! The fries are crosscut and delicious! The house salad was of the likes I've never seen or tasted before! Loved it!!! The server: Frankie is very very nice and attentive! There's street parking, but quite easy to find.

Deserves no star. This place looks decent, but after a brief time at the bar, it was clear that the said manager behind the bar has major emotional/interpersonal/psychological insecurities, expressed in very abrupt, and unreasonably rude manner. The way she took our order was as if she was being inconvenienced. She wasn't willing to answer questions about the food they served and took them personally. During the brief and hurried time she was taking our order, she was having loud conversations with other patrons around the bar, mainly men that were giving her attention. They were joking with her and she was joking back in her high-pitched screeching voice, meanwhile, appearing to be inconvenienced by our food order. So glad that we did not proceed with our order nor eat the food that comes the kitchen managed by a lunatic that was either on stimulants or is in need of psychiatric medication and heavy schooling in the service industry.

Came here after a long drive from Arizona, was walking around San Clemente and found this little place. The place was nice and cosy, owner was super nice to us, offered us all (group of 5) free drinks. The food was good, wish the skewers had a little more meat on them, burger was amazing, their fries were so good too. Overall, Id recommend this place for a lighter dinner if you don’t want to feel like a pig after eating.

Please have your cook wear gloves while cooking. Seeing him touch all the food and mix a salad with bare hands grossed me out. He also dropped the cutting board on the floor, placed it back on the counter and continued to prep food on it ?. Cleanliness is a must in the food industry!

Disclaimer: My client owns this restaurant. Occasionally, a client will offer to buy me lunch at their restaurant or the one the work at. 3 out of 5 times, I wish I just got some chick fil a and called it a day. But this was not one of those times: Hooman takes pride in his craft. The first bite of my burger immediately brought to my attention that the ground beef was custom (I'm going to guess it was chuck and brisket) perfectly cooked. No kraft singles here. He's chosen aged cheddar to add complexity to the beef. Even the thousand island and BBQ sauce I ordered for my waffle fries (nice touch) is house made. They have a great assortment of liquors (please add a El Silencio to your collection, Hooman). And the bartender, Hazel. Sweet, attentive, great to talk to, and easy on the eyes. I went into this lunch thinking I'd have to fake a smile and cringe at nasty bar food. I was so pleasantly surprised. Ill be bringing friends here for dinner soon.

Burger was cooked perfectly; beer was cold. Bread was a bit soggy, not a ton of flavor but would definitely stop in for low key and good ambiance.
